A special note to artists and creatives: It is one thing to tap into your creativity and make art. It is quite another to market your art. Everyone loves some type of art —but how do you sell yourself? YES – Yourself! You are the artist/artisan. Your work is a projection of your creative force. The Rickie Report helps you by going behind the scenes to bring you and your artwork to the forefront.
About Rickie
Rickie Leiter is the publisher of The Rickie Report, which covers southeast Florida’s visual arts scene, from Melbourne to Miami. Her free online publication features artist stories, helpful tips for marketing, upcoming art events, and calls to artists/artisans for both juried and non-juried shows. Rickie enjoys helping artists, galleries, and visual arts-related organizations achieve their potential by connecting with other artists, art lovers, and patrons. She has juried exhibits.
Being involved with her community is important to Rickie, as she volunteers with the Ft. Pierce Jazz Society and co-chairs a juried art show in PGA Village Verano. Her long-standing volunteer leadership work with Hadassah currently focuses on bringing disenfranchised youth in Israel back into positive societal roles.
Rickie is a member of a number of art coalitions in southeast Florida. She is always looking for a way to connect emerging artists, established artists, art promoters, and art patrons together, sometimes in the most unexpected ways. Rickie earned an MSW and previously worked as a psychiatric social worker before changing professional paths as an art consultant. While her own creativity includes a successful career as a jewelry artist and an emerging mosaicist, she is open to new knowledge, growth and experiences.
Rickie is an advisory board member of the Clark Hulings Fund. You can read more about her in their spotlight Q&A article here.
