 “Art fairs allow people to interact with the artists face to face and learn about their creative process, inspiration, techniques and, mediums and accomplishments.  Personal contact  with the artists cannot be duplicated through a device in one’s hand. The Wellington Art Society continues its tradition of bringing art and community together in a beautiful tropical park to celebrate creativity and artistic excellence at this year’s 14th Annual Juried Art Fest on the Green. Art Fest on the Green showcases extraordinary original works across many mediums by 65 artists from around the country. Awards for Excellence, totaling $2000. are presented to Artists for Best in Show, 1st,2nd,3rd, and Honorable Mentions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Artists look forward to sharing their inspiration and artistic process with art enthusiasts and visitors through art demos and booth chats.This is a great opportunity to take home a fabulous original work of art and have a wonderful artist story to share. Live acoustic music on the Amphitheater Stage, Artist Demonstrations, Children’s Art Activity Tent, Food Trucks, and outstanding original art for sale create a wonderful interactive art experience for everyone.

On Saturday, January 26th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, January 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, the Wellington Art Society presents Art Fest on the Green, a celebration of creativity and artistic excellence bringing art and community together in a beautiful outdoor setting.  The juried fine art and fine craft show will feature artists from around the country showing original artwork across multiple mediums, including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, textiles, photography and more. Many artists will be working on site.

The 55 fine artists participating in the festival were selected for their creativity, mastery of technique, and level of excellence. Awards for Excellence will be presented to Artists for Best in Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and Honorable Mentions.

Art Fest on the Green gives visitors an opportunity to interact with the artists, learn more about their creative process, different mediums and techniques, and hear about the artists inspiration and accomplishments. Face to face contact with the artists in a beautiful setting adds to the wonderful lifetime experience of owning artwork and creates an extra dimension to the artwork.

 

Children of all ages will have fun creating their own original work of art to take home at the “Young at Art” Children’s Art Activity Area.  Live acoustic music will be performed by popular Professional local and regional musicians during Show hours. Food Trucks will be on site offering a variety of delicious food.

Manny Jomok, a plein air watercolorist, will present his recent captivating Palm Beach landscapes painted on site at popular area locations: Society of the Four Arts, Old Key Lime house, Grassy Waters Preserve, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Loxahatchee Panorama, Mounts Botanical Gardens.  Many of Manny’s paintings are done with other artists as part of meet-ups. Manny teaches watercolor and exhibits in FL and Maine.

Tim Gaydos, top award-winning artist in several mediums, will present his recent paintings of reflections in Nature.  “In recent years I have been moving more and more toward abstracting the landscape by eliminating detail, simplifying shapes, exaggerating colors with the intent of creating stronger composition.”  Tim is a master pastelist of the Pastel Society of America since 1987. He has received over 200 awards, most notably the American Watercolor Society Gold Medal of Honor. He has had many solo exhibitions and his work is in the Public Collections at Rutgers University, Butler Institute of American Art, Metropolitan Opera, L.L. This outdoor show is well attended and has been the starting point for many emerging artists to take their next big step in the local and national art scene. The Wellington Art Society presents its 9th Annual Juried Fine Art and Fine Craft Show, ArtFest on the Green, to be held at the Wellington Amphitheater Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, January 31, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Proceeds from this show will go toward the Wellington Art Society’s Scholarship Fund as well as other community programs.

 

 

Fees to the artist include a $25 non-refundable application fee and a $175 booth fee. Artists will be judged for originality, creativity, technique, and booth design by an independent team of judges. This show will award $2,000 in cash prizes.

 

 

 

Artists will be juried in. All Fine Art and Fine Craft work must be designed and created by the artist. Prints and duplications of your original artwork will be allowed, but the majority of the booth must be original art created by the artist. Painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, textiles, woodworking, photography and other mediums will be considered.

 

 

 

This show will take place at the beautiful Wellington Amphitheater at 12100 W. Forest Hill Blvd. in Wellington, Florida during the peak Equestrian and Tourist Season and is free to the public. The Amphitheater includes an outdoor stage featuring live and recorded music throughout the event. Food vendors and a youth art activity area will also be present. Saturday morning, the City of Wellington will feature its Green Market in the adjacent parking lot.

 

 

Set up will occur Friday afternoon, January 29th, 2015. Security will be provided overnight Friday and Saturday. Artists will provide and set up their own 10’ x 10’ white tent, closing the sides overnight.

 

 

The Wellington Art Society will be advertising this event in the Palm Beach Post and the Town-Crier newspapers, as well as to over 1,200 local Chamber of Commerce members, The Rickie Report and extensive social media. Artists will have the opportunity to purchase ads in the event booklet, which will be offered free to art show attendees.

10 x 10 Artist Tents with sides (no tent stakes; weights must be used), tables, chairs and other displays are the responsibility of the artist. Booths must look professional, and spaces are to be attended at all times. Security will be provided overnight Friday and Saturday. This is an outdoor event, rain or shine. Artist is responsible for Florida sales tax. Liability for loss/damage to any property/artwork is that of the artist. Accepted art includes but is not limited to: pottery, sculpture, painting, photography, jewelry, glass, and woodworking. Refunds are not provided for accepted artists who are unable to participate in the show. Artists will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity, technique, and booth design, by an independent team of judges. This show will offer $2,000 in cash prizes. One artist represented per booth. Artists notified by email of acceptance or rejection.
