Why Should You Know The Name Of Artist, Seymour Schachter? Jack Rosen Of CJR Fine Arts Tells Us And Shares Seymour’s Newest Work, “Glory”

What do you know about the artist, Seymour Schachter?  Even though you may not recognize his name, you will recognize much of his artwork!  In addition to being a fine art painter, Seymour Schachter is considered the top commercial artist in the country. It is estimated that his art is in 1 of every 3 households in the US.  Seymour has been painting on commission for several years, but has only recently begun selling these pieces publicly. Jack Rosen, of CJR Fine Arts shares Seymour’s newest painting (6 years in the making) of “Glory”. A portion of sales will benefit Veterans Charities.  The Rickie Report is honored to share this article with you!

Although Seymour was thought an artistic prodigy, his “old school” parents insisted he go to business school.  He chose Boston University, not because of their renowned business school, but because it enabled him to study at BU’s prestigious College of Fine Art, where he was hailed as one of their top students.

Following graduation, while attending a business meeting in France, all he could think about was painting the French countryside. It was at that pivotal moment he realized he needed to follow his heart and made an on-the-spot decision to pursue an art career.  Seymour immersed himself in art, taking classes at New York’s School of Visual Art, which led him to become one of the head artists for the leading commercial art studio in advertising under the mentorship of the legendary Neal Adams.

Eleven years later, Seymour launched his own studio, Seymour Schachter Illustration, where he has illustrated for thousands of products and campaigns for a virtual ‘who’s who’ of advertising.  It is estimated that his art is in 1 of every 3 households in the US.

Throughout all of this commercial success, Seymour’s heart was still in painting, like the French countryside he visited 30 years ago. Seymour has been painting on commission for several years, but has only recently begun selling these pieces publicly. His latest work, “Glory”, took him six years to complete.

Seymour  represents four iconic images within the flag itself: the bald eagle, the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, and Mount Rushmore.  Do you see an additional image?

Seymour Schachter, in association with CJR Fine Arts, is offering custom options, including embellishments that are meaningful to you.  Each enhanced signed painting will be a unique one-of-a-kind edition.

Trish Stephens tells The Rickie Report, “The Casuarina tree’s seeds were first brought to Florida in 1898 from France. Later seeds came from Ceylon, Manila and Hawaii.  Today, the Casuarina tree, known as the Australian Pine, is so prevalent in Lantana, our founding members thought it fitting to give the name to our Woman’s Club.  The species is so firmly a part of Florida that we forget that it is, like most of us, from elsewhere. Diversity is our strength and the Casuarina reminds us that as people in our communities we come from many different places and various backgrounds. However, like the branches of the tree, we can make the difference when serving a common cause”.
