Alan Halpern Brings His Iconic Art To Fashion As He Unveils New Wearable Art Line! What’s Next? Stay Tuned!

Alan Halpern has taken his iconic artworks to a new level!  In addition to having his artwork on your walls, you can WEAR IT!  Teaming up with an exclusive apparel manufacturer in Canada, Alan is now making his images as wearable art pieces at reasonable prices.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks. Now, YOU can be the canvas of an art icon! What’s next?  Stay tuned!

Alan Halpern tells The Rickie Report,” I have taken my paintings to another dimension! I have partnered with an exclusive fashion company in Canada to manufacture and distribute a clothing line from three of my original paintings. To see the current collection ( there is more to come!)

When The Rickie Report last spoke with Alan, he had made T-Shirts for himself with a selection of his paintings imprinted on it.  He explains, “People asked me where can they get one! This led me to research other possibilities of wearable art.  I wanted to work with a quality company that offers online presence, a selection of clothing styles, ease of ordering, money collection, inventory control, S&H”.  At this point, Alan hints at future possibilities of handbags, pillow, and other decorative options.

Miles Laventhall, renown artist and teacher says,” The subjects Alan chooses and personal aesthetic are as colorful as he is.  The paintings he creates are visual reminders of life, full of potential and goodwill.  Al, we are blessed and inspired by you, and look forward to many more years of creativity together”.

From Betsy Ross to Blondie or Bruno Mars, Alan digs into the personality and reveals the inner essence of people.  Visual Artist, Ana Tamayo tells us, “Alan Halpern is a painter with a very positive view of life and a caring personality. Alan’s connection with people is reflected in his expressive portraits of celebrities where the composition and use of color flow naturally and seemingly, without any effort on the canvas. His sense of design and his experience as a graphic designer are unquestionable.  His works of art are a cheerful reminder to smile!”

Alan Halpern was born in the Bronx, NY and grew up in LIC. He tells The Rickie Report, “My interest in art germinated when I landed a job at Columbia Motion Pictures working in the print/mailroom. There I spent hours visiting the art department making friends and watching the artists create movie posters and 3D displays. I was then accepted by Pratt Institute, a prestigious Art School. Four years later, I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Upon graduation, my first professional  job was a graphic designer at Dell Publishing designing sales and promotional materials for future books to be published. I went on to establish my own marketing/sales promotional design firm in Manhattan until retiring to Southern Florida”.

Suzanne tells us, “What I love about fiber art is the surprise element – the mixture of the fabric, the dye and the resist create different combinations of results that are only revealed at the final step…the magic when the freshly dyed indigo comes out of the vat and turns from green to blue right before your eyes! It is always a surprise when I unwrap a freshly dyed piece of fabric! I currently specialize in Shibori and Batik. For me, these art forms are an excuse to use vibrant colors and simple shapes to produce designs, without having to worry too much about the details –just as in life, there are no “mistakes” with fiber, and everything is always subject to change. The imperfections are all part of the creative process.  I’m always learning new techniques and experimenting so I can share them with my students. Every piece created is a unique one of a kind original!”
