We share the information here and once again marvel at the power of art in our lives.  Talin’s Tropical Studio continues to offer summer art activities for children and adults, including art therapy, as Talin Lyman has been doing for the past 29 years! Talin has a special offer running through August 15th: Bring 3 Get 1 Free! Kids, who bring 3 friends to Summer Art Camp, will receive one class ABSOLUTELY FREE! Creative FUN at Talin's Tropical Studio

Creative FUN at Talin’s Tropical Studio

Talin’s Tropical Studio has been in South Florida for over 29 years. It’s a great place to learn how to paint, no matter what age or expertise level. It’s as easy as coming in, finding a picture that you would like to paint, and having Founder and President, Talin Lyman, show you how!

The art classes are lighthearted, happy, fun, and easy with everyone walking out the door with their own painting! Art is therapy for kids and adults including cancer and stroke patients PLUS it is a great stress reliever!

Ms. Lyman, a professional artist herself, has been able to bring joy and fun to the community, ages 5 to 95, through her studio for 29 years.  Talin now operates her new Delray Studio at 2915 South Federal Hwy Suite D-3.  She tells The Rickie Report, “We have lots of fun classes for kids and adults alike, and even Summer Art Camp for the kids!”

  • Adult freestyle classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00am to 12:00pm (all mediums, levels, styles)
  • Adult cork n’ canvas on Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00 to 8:00pm
  • Kid’s afternoon art club (during school year) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm
  • Kid’s Art Camp during all school breaks from 9:30am to 4:00pm daily
  • Special Offer running through August 15th: Bring 3 Get 1 Free! Kids, who bring 3 friends to our Summer Art Camp, will receive one class ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Interior Designers, Decorators and Home Improvers, Take Note!

Talin Lyman also offers Exclusive Designer Fabrics & Custom Handpainted Fabrics.

Greatness, in the world of art is a subjective judgment. However, Talin Lyman’s (formerly Johnson) prized client list would suggest a consistent theme – others who have made great achievement their legacy seek out her works and designs. If the company she keeps is any indication, Talin too will be noted as a great achiever in the art and design world. Her one-of-a-kind musical painting rests in China at the home of the Chinese Ambassador. Two grand frescos can be found in Tuscany and in Rome at the Intercontinental hotels; each one over 120 square feet in size. Talin was commissioned to paint a mural which now adorns a wall in the winter home of one of the U.S. vice-presidents. The list goes on. Dennis Max, famed south Florida restaurateur owns her paintings and rugs. Rainier Neuman, caterer to Donald Trump and other notables in Palm Beach fashions her exclusive fabric designs for his home. She studied under artist Marbury Brown and studied ancient painting techniques during a stay in Greece. Talin is frequently asked to lecture and share her vibrant work and personality with others.

Internationally renown artist Faten Safieddine will show her short film “La Chrysalide” and talk about her work. This lecture is free and open to the public. In a dreamlike style, this film shows the struggle of women to extricate themselves from the yoke of the cultural and social conditioning and achieve freedom and fullness.

Born in Lebanon, Ms. Safieddine lives and works in Marrakesh and Paris. She was educated at the Sorbonne and the Université d’Abidjan and has shown her work throughout the Middle East, France and Canada.

Her photographic work explores the themes of the shadows, reflections and transparencies and has been the subject of several international exhibitions.  In addition to working as a photographer and film maker, Ms Safieddine is a journalist, art critic and writer focusing on culture and history. In 1988 the Metropolitan Museum of Art commissioned her to create a documentary on the restoration of the Minbar in the Grand Mosque of Koutoubia. The documentary received the Image d’Or prize in France.
