Internationally Collected Artist, Guy Coheleach’s Wildlife Exhibit Coming to Court House Arts Center In Stuart

Few art exhibits offered by the Arts Council of Martin County generate such excitement and high attendance figures as those of local wildlife artist Guy Coheleach. The Court House Cultural Center is always delighted to exhibit his award-winning work, joining other prestigious showcases such as the National Collection of Fine Art, the White House, the Corcoran Gallery and the Royal Ontario Museum in offering the magnificent art to the public.  The Opening Reception takes place Friday, February 2. When you experience the grandeur and beauty of Coheleach’s work, you’ll understand why he is honored and widely-recognized as a truly exceptional artist. The Exhibit continues through April 10, 2018.  In addition to Visual Arts Exhibits, The Arts Council of Martin County offers FREE  Sunset Concerts at the Gallery the Second Tuesday of each month from October through May at 5:30 pm.  The next one is February 13th!

“Not So Merry Go Round” by Guy Coheleach

Coheleach’s paintings have received the Society of Animal Artists’ Award of Excellence an impressive eight times. This prestigious honor is awarded by curators and professors of fine art from museums and universities across America.  He also received the celebrated Master Artist Medal from the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in 1983, one of only nine artists both living and dead so honored at the time. When you experience the grandeur and beauty of Coheleach’s work, you’ll understand why he is honored and widely-recognized as a truly exceptional artist.

The Court House Cultural Center is always delighted to exhibit his award-winning work, joining other prestigious showcases such as the National Collection of Fine Art, the White House, the Corcoran Gallery and the Royal Ontario Museum in offering the magnificent art to the public.  In 1995, Coheleach’s collection was hosted by the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh and in 1996 by the Newark Museum.  PBS and other national television networks have aired films citing Coheleach’s work and publications such as Reader’s Digest, Saturday Evening Post, National Wildlife and Wildlife Arts News are just a few of the media that have discussed his talent and contributions to the world of art.

 

 

 

“Cooling Off” by Guy Coheleach

 

Coheleach is a frequent traveler to U.S. National Parks, Alaska, Europe, South America and Africa to gather visual reference for his painting. His exciting adventures include being run down by an elephant in Zambia.  Philanthropic as well as artistic, his endowment provides approximately six full scholarships to the School of Wildlife Management annually for needy students.  You will be able to personally experience the mastery of Guy Coheleach at the Court House Cultural Center from February 2-April 10, 2018. An exciting opening reception from 5:30-7 p.m. on February 2 will set the tone for an inspirational and compelling exhibit.
