Sandra Encaoua was born in Paris and is a well known and acclaimed artist in France and many other European countries.  She began painting and drawing as a young girl, teaching herself to mix several mediums until she had the prefect effect she wanted.  She graduated from a Parisian school of art.

Sandra tells The Rickie Report, ” Sometimes I create with watercolors when I want a quick expression of the moment, but I work mainly in oils on large canvases, as I like the transparency and vibration of the oils”.   Her semi-abstract paintings reflect Sandra’s love of nature and raw elements.  Her landscapes and portraits are a mixture of flaming red with sparking white and bright turquoise.  Her paintings infer strength, vitality and gentleness.

Learn about Paul’s creative process in the development of his unique artwork and the origins of his very unique style.  The definition of realism takes on a new meaning when the paintings are shaped in perspective because a ‘realistic’ painting in a square or rectangle relies on the acceptance by the viewer that they are looking at an illusion presented to them in an arbitrarily imposed shape. But when a painting is shaped to look like the object represented when seen in perspective, such as a painting of a door – which actually opens and closes like a real door – then the illusion of reality is intensified. Perhaps it would be more accurate to describe this increased realism as ‘supra-realism’.

He presently is exhibiting with De Twee Pauwen, The Hague, The Netherlands and Bel-Air Fine Art, Miami.  Paul has shown in more than 200 Group Exhibitions, including: The 57th ‘Bienale di Venezia’, Italy, 2017 – Bel-Air Fine Art, Paris, France Maddox Gallery, London, Galerie Blondel, Paris, France, Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery, New York City, Scott Richards Contemporary Art, San Francisco, National Centre for Contemporary Art, Vladikavkaz, Russia.  Paul has participated in 36 Solo Exhibitions since 1987 and Over 61 International Art Fairs since 1985. Rotterdam Contemporary, The Netherlands,, Art Karlsruhe, Germany (solo), Moniker, London, Art.Fair Cologne, Germany (Solo shows 2014 – 2015), SCOPE, Basel, Switzerland (Solo show 2013).  https://www.saatchiart.com/PaulC

Helen Kagan’s Colorful Artwork Brings Joy And Positivity – Visit Her Open Studio January 20th and 21st

What makes Helen Kagan‘s artwork stand out? Her paintings are colorful with spiritual messages embedded in them. Just viewing them simply makes your brain think with more positivity! Helen is one of the professional artists participating in the Martin County Open Studio Tour on Saturday, January 20th and Sunday, January 21st. The tour is Free and Open to the public. The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks of Helen’s artistry.

THE   HEALING   ARTS   OF   HELEN   KAGAN

Photo of Helen Kagan in her Studio

Helen Kagan’s artwork is more than dots of brush strokes of paint on a canvas. The intentions with which she paints (for positivity, for spiritual healing, acceptance of one’s situation, increased energy) embeds symbols that are meaningful not only to Helen but to the viewer ( though the viewer may not be as aware of them). A secret message? Perhaps. It is Helen’s way to manifest her deep belief in healing arts as part of the whole-world and whole-person view. And for those who dismiss these notions, it is OK to just love the colorful images and enjoy looking at them!

Helen shares her mission in this informative video:

WRBiTV Interview “Healing Arts” in Healthcare (June, 2017)

Helen tells us, “ I believe art heals. A holistic therapist and artist for over 25 years, I’ve developed a unique technique and style “Healing Arts” which is a vehicle for emotional, physical, mental and spiritual well-being, and can enhance healing to those in need. Coming from a family of scientists I’ve been always fascinated by the left and right brain relationship which led me to study many things – from mathematics and science to psychology, therapy and healing to fine art, and finally led to create my unique venue “Healing Arts”. It reflects my own deep view on Life, a desire to bridge Realities and heal the Past. Communicating on subliminal levels, my art delivers this message through positive intentionality and healing frequencies of color, which brings you in touch with your own Journey”.

Helen works in oil and acrylic and has been experimenting with mixed media. Her canvases are influenced by impressionism, and expressionism. They are bold, passionate, colorful, vibrant, all intuitive. She shares, “I believe art is a catalyst for healing individuals, society and the environment. I believe in the inter-connectedness of mind, body and spirit. I believe that now, more than ever, the World needs the positive energy and spiritually-based intentions, beliefs and values”.

“Big Apple I Love New York!” by Helen Kagan

Helen Kagan, PhD. was born in a cold Siberian winter in what then was the USSR. She grew up in a Communist State where oppression and control were a daily reality. Underlying it all, her beliefs, values, and a great respect for freedom to express yourself persevered. In 1991 her quest for freedom led her to the US, where she brought her Jewish heritage, a few graduate degrees, and an unending thirst to explore the World and its meaning.

Mainly self-taught Helen has been painting for as long as she remembers, and since 2005 professionally. Her art is better experienced “in-person” due to live vibrations of bright colors, heavy textures, usually large size, and an overall charisma and liveliness. If you are a seeker on a Quest looking for a quintessential insight, a person who wants to embrace a healing power of art, or just wishing to feel better – you might find yourself on a Journey to discovering your inner strength, or you may find it rewarding to meditate with Helen’s works (which many people do…).

Helen Kagan’s “My Universe Third Eye Series Healing Chakras”

Dr. Kagan envisions her art to be placed in Medical Centers, Multicultural Centers, Buildings, Corporations, Hospitals, Libraries, Crisis Centers… Wherever it can enhance healing and promote well-being. Helen believes in inter-connectedness of mind, body and spirit. She shares the belief that art is a catalyst for healing individuals, society and the environment. She feels privileged to be among such visionary artists and is happy to share her beliefs about the healing power of art. Her vibrant healing art is a combined statement of all her beliefs.

She was named a “Collectible Artist 2016” by Brickell and Key Biscayne Magazines (“Dealer’s Dozen”, Dec. Issue 2016).

“The Monster In The Room” by Missy Pierce

Pierce specializes in vibrant abstract and figurative paintings that explore the nature of, and search for, identity and inner strength. A repeated theme in her work is that of containment—especially the containment of parts of the self that are concealed in the conflicting roles played in our lives.

” Bali” by Missy Pierce

Pierce tells The Rickie Report, ” I specialize in vibrant abstract paintings that explore the nature of, and search for, identity.  A theme often repeated in my work is that of “holding it together” or the “containment,” of aspects of one’s self. This dynamic is often explored in the context of domestic roles juxtaposed with conflicting roles as a feminist. In my work, I focus on the images I choose to conceal rather than project in a particular role.  My paintings represent the release of those otherwise suppressed images. “

“Mommy Used To Be So Pretty” by Missy Pierce

She goes on to explain, “I work with acrylics, papers, and tar gel applied in multiple layers to create a canvas with texture, depth and history. My work has often been subjected to a final harmonizing agent, such as detailed pattern-making, sanding with power tools or “pours” that have been partially dissolved to reveal evocative glimpses of the underlying layers.”

Pierce’s work can be found in public and private art collections both in the United States and abroad, and has been seen in numerous exhibitions. Her work may currently be seen in places as diverse as the Percy Thomson Gallery in Stratford, New Zealand to the Whole Foods Market Cafe in Boca Raton, 1400 Glades Road and the West Boca Imaging Center on 7070 W.
