Wellington Art Society Is Well Represented At “Art Of Association” Exhibit At Lighthouse Art Center. Public Is Invited To Opening Reception September 20th

The Wellington Art Society is well represented , with 20 member artists, at the Lighthouse ArtCenter‘s Annual “Art Of Association” Exhibit.  Art guilds and societies from Vero Beach to Miami, will be participating.  Art lovers and artists will see paintings, sculpture, collage, and jewelry.  All art work will be judged and prizes awarded at the Opening Reception on Thursday, September 20th.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks.  If you are interested in meeting other artists and creatives, this is THE PLACE to be!

Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery’s Art 2018 Biennial Juried Exhibition Opens To Public February 15th

The public is invited to attend the Opening Reception and Awards Presentation of the Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery’s Art 2018 Biennial Juried Exhibition on Thursday, February 15th.  With submissions from 125 artists from 14 states in the categories of paintings, photography, graphics, mixed media, wood, clay, metal, glass, fiber art, and sculptures, judge Rachel Gustafson selected 87 works by 73 artists. Judge Rachel Gustafson:

J. Rachel Gustafson is the Assistant Curator at the Norton Museum of Art. She joined the museum in 2015 and recently organized the exhibitions, French Connections: Photography (2017) and Pen to Paper: Artists’ Handwritten Letters from the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art (2017). In this role, her responsibilities include arts administration, exhibition planning and acquisition research related to the museum’s collection. Previously, Gustafson served as a contributing writer for the National Endowment of the Arts’ various publications while earning her masters in art history at American University in Washington, D.C. She was later awarded a fellowship at the National Museum for Women in the Arts and assisted in the organization of Total Art: Contemporary Video (2014).

 

 

 

 

The Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Center at the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center provides a welcoming environment and a sense of community for active adults of all ages to pursue high quality and enriching educational, cultural, social and recreational experiences. “Art Of Association” Is A Feast For The Eyes At Lighthouse ArtCenter In Tequesta

Art Associations from Boca Raton to Vero Beach are participating in this refreshing exhibition at the Lighthouse Art Center, which fosters cross pollination of ideas and practices with 2D and 3D media from fiber arts to fused glass. It’s a feast for the eyes as the best work by artists of sixteen art associations, from Miami to Vero Beach, is on display at the Lighthouse ArtCenter. The work was juried and judged, resulting in twenty-two awards presented at the 6th Annual Art of Association exhibition opening reception at the ArtCenter in Tequesta.

Curator Janeen Mason, announced the winners to the capacity crowd that took place at the June 3rd Thursday event and Executive Director, Nancy Politsch presented the awards. Jane Davis Doggett, 2016 inductee into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame, Jennifer Elser, CEO of the Elliott Museum and Nancy Politsch, served as the judges.

“This is an exhibition in which art lovers and collectors can see, as well as purchase, the best work by members of art associations in our region.
