Women In The Visual Arts (WITVA) invites you to their “Winter Craft Fair”, perfect for the gift giving season, now through January 1, 2021!  Available on-line you can browse the fabulous items for sale including one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, home decor, accessories, and more.  The artists chosen may live locally, but sell their creations nationally and internationally.  This event will benefit their Art Scholarship Program.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks.  WITVA, promoting the Visual Arts and Women Artists in Florida, offers meaningful networking opportunities.

The WITVA community continues to grow as its members have joined together forming a tighter network of shared interests and social bonds. The CIRCLE OF ARTISTS brings WITVA members together through a virtual Zoom platform. Our goal is to reach out and connect those members who are in like-minded artistic disciplines and encourage group members to share artwork and provide feedback and suggestions.  You are welcome to join your group and also to explore other groups. ABOUT WITVA:

We fundraise to grant art scholarships to college graduate students to further their studies  and we support high school art with an annual competitive exhibition with awards.  We hold educational forums relating to specific forms of art and present art exhibitions and competitions. We also serve as a networking forum for our members and guests. WITVA also donates group art to other non-profits.

Arts Council Of Martin County’s “All Florida” Juried Art Show Celebrates 30 Year Milestone Bringing Fine Artists From Around The State Together. Visit In Person Or Virtually Now Through December 12, 2020

The Arts Council of Martin County’s “All Florida” Juried Art Show turns 30 and is open now through December 12, 2020. While the show started as a local juried art show, over the years it has grown to encompass all Florida artists.  The 2020 version features 54 artists of all media and introduces some new elements to the scheduleJuried by Lisa Rockford, a handful of artists will join a virtual panel to discuss their works on Tuesday, November 17.  Instead of an Opening event, there will be a Closing Reception on Thursday, December 3.  The entire Free exhibit is being offered in a hybrid manner, both virtual and in-person at the Courthouse Cultural Arts Center in Stuart. Gallery Hours: Tuesday, 10 AM to 6 PM  and Wednesday– Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM

 

 

The exhibition showcases recent art by Florida artists in all media. Exhibited works span the mediums of watercolor, ceramics, acrylic, oil, photography, clay, encaustic, wood, metal, glass, and serigraph from 54 artists from Tallahassee to Miami.

 

Lisa Rockford served as the juror for the show and we are introducing some new elements to the schedule this year. In addition to the juror lecture, a handful of artists will join a panel to conduct a virtual discussion about their works. Instead of an opening, we decided to do a closing event in December.

 

The All Florida Juried Art Show will also be virtual, please check the website for a link to see it, if you are unable to visit the Court House Cultural Center to see it in the gallery space in person.

The Lighthouse ArtCenter, a 501c (3) not-for-profit, was founded in 1964 by eight artists and Christopher Norton. In the last 54 years it has grown to include a gallery, school of art, gift shop, and art supply store. Supported by memberships, sponsors, and grants the ArtCenter now serves over 20,000 guests, 2,500 students, 45 faculty members, 500 summer ArtCampers and a comprehensive outreach program to benefit underserved and disabled residents in the community.
