Don’t miss the trunk Show and Meet the Artists during Art Palm Beach 24-28 with Dutch body jewelry artist Annemieke Broenink who uses rubber based materials for her work.  There will be new pieces by Italian Designer  Gaetano Pesce, a preview of another Italian desginer,  Jacopo Foggini and found object-functional lamps by U.S. artist Harry Anderson.

The Whitespace Collection is open for public viewing every Sunday from 1 – 4 pm.  You’ll want to make a bee line to get a front row seat to see Beatriz Millar as she prepares and then bakes her bread goddesses.  Max Toth, whose artwork is installed at the Whitespace Collection site will be on hand to greet art patrons.  You can view two fascinating videos about his installation here:

 

In addition to Max and Beatriz, many of Whitespace’s community-based artists will be present and will offer a special limited edition video project for Whitespace.  Karla Walter  will present new work for previewing at Whitespace during Art Palm Beach. Work by community-based artists Kristen Miller Hopkins, Kenza Ayed, Julie Williams, IrinaG, Rene Von Rictofen, Lorri Ann Warren and Jacek Gancarz will be exhibited as well.

IMPORTANT:   Please note that a portion of every sale is a donation to Community Foundation – The Mordes Family Fund.  This year we have implimented a scholarship for visual art at Dreyfoos School of the Arts and a Photographic program taught by Jacek Gancarz at Bright Futures Academy.  Both will have exhibitions at Whitespace in May.

Art Palm Beach Partners with Whitespace Collection for Special Artist Performance and Discussions

You can expect the unexpected at Whitespace Collection, but Elayne and Marvin Mordes have outdone themselves!  You are invited to watch artist Beatriz Millar as she creates her world renown sculptures – made of dough!   Light refreshments will be provided by Art Palm Beach and the activities take place at Whitespace Collection. Whitespace Collection is offering a wide range of programs in the coming months.  Whitespace is open for public viewing every Sunday 1-4,  and will be at Booth #408 at Art Palm Beach.  Beatriz Millar and Max Toth will be present as well as many of our community based artists.  There are two special “Meet the Artists” which will include a light breakfast.  Saturday, January  26th will be with Max Toth and the performance with breakfast with Beatriz Millar takes place on Sunday the 27th. Both are being sponsored by Art Palm Beach at Whitespace.
