6 pm

Boca Raton Community Center

150 Crawford Blvd. Boca Raton, Fl

How a “Paint-around” Works:

4 or 5 artists will stand in a circle at easels and start a painting. They may have it lightly sketched in. Each painter will work for 10 minutes, and then each will move to the right and paint on that piece of art for 10 minutes, and so on, until it comes back to the original painter, who will have a few minutes to finish it up. Then there will be a raffle and the first winner will have the option to pick one of the paintings, then the next, next, and next, until they are all selected. The proceeds from the raffle will support the workings of PBWS. Spectators are welcome!  Non-members: $2 to attend.
Attendees will also receive a free goodie in terms of some kind of art supply.

NOTES:

  • Memberships in the PBWS are $40, available now.

  • There will be a members’ show at the Delray Beach Public Library in September.

  • The first meeting of the Fall will be October 20th.

Carol tells The Rickie Report, “My paintings reflect my love of color and my fascination with texture, and are often tied to some aspect of the real world. They begin as a flow of feelings, intuition and spirit. Rather than carefully controlling my paintings, I allow them to grow and emerge, suggesting their forms, which I develop by means of many layers of glazes.  Through my work, I try to delight the viewers’ senses and bring them joy. Many remark about the beautiful colors, telling me they love the softness and emotional quality in my work. It pleases me to know I have reached them.”
