“Art has been the one constant in my life. It is a means of expression and a way for me to share my passion with others. I am very blessed to have this gift and I am grateful to those that have already made my work a part of their lives. I have always believed art to be a way to share joy and bring happiness to those around you. There is something about looking at a painting that speaks to you that is unparalleled”.

“My art teacher in the 9th grade was the first to put a paintbrush in my hand. A graduate of the University of Miami with a BFA and a minor in art history, I draw inspiration from the impressionists, and the flatter styles of the post-impressionists such as Gauguin and Cezanne. I combine these two distinct styles into one, creating a dynamic piece that borders on the brink of 2-D and 3-D art. I mainly work with oil paints but have created art pieces in various mediums.  My newest endeavor is painting murals for nurseries. Have your child wake up each morning to their favorite fairy princesses, animals, or any other scene you can imagine”.

Lampworking is an art form which became widely practiced in Murano, Italy in the 14th century. Lampworking is the art of melting glass rods with a torch and creating on a steel mandrel small works of art. These pieces are decorated with thinner stringer pieces of glass and when finished annealed in a kiln for strength and durability.

Raida has a background in Interior Design and uses these principles to design, and use color in her glass pieces as well as her artisan jewelry. She has a great love for nature and frequently incorporates elements in her beads and artisan jewelry.
