Whitespace Opens for Season With New Artists and Exhibits
Whitespace Collection’s Opening Night on December 13th will present “Optic Edge”, an exhibition of creative projects using video, film, and internet. In addition, new work from artists that Elayne and Marvin Mordes have discovered during their world wide art tours will be shown. Whitespace will be open for the next 3 weekends in a row during the Holiday Season. The Rickie Report suggests that a trip to Whitespace is a perfect holiday adventure for the entire family. About Whitespace:
The mission of Whitespace is to expand and introduce the viewer to current trends in contemporary art by creating international exhibitions by major mid-career contemporary artists using various mediums: including painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and video. Whitespace is open from December through April of each year. The goal of Whitespace is to fund a granting program for the Arts and Art Education in Palm Beach County through Community Foundation.
This season Whitespace is proud to announce the 6th season of “Whitebox”, an artist’s project space for emerging and mid-career international artists. Exhibiting this season are artists involved with cutting edge work using film, video and internet as their medium. In addition, Whitespace in implementing a program of Art Tours to Miami, a boxed lunch and learn program with artists as speakers, two open events to allow for visits to our private home without a group tour and Outside the Box2 – a juried biennale outdoor sculpture exhibition with approximately 25 artists.
