Open House Offers Ways To Explore, Discover, Create At Boca Museum Art School

Explore, discover, and create at the Boca Museum Art School in 2017 !  As new classes start Monday, January 2, 2017, come to an Open House on Sunday, December 18th. Meet teachers, learn about classes, and visit the art studios.  See demonstrations in drawing, jewelry, pottery, painting, sculpture, and textiles. Join in the free figure drawing session. Enter a free raffle to win a free pizza and other items from local merchants; free refreshments; and ‘spin to win art supplies sponsored by Blick Art Supplies. A fun event and great way to meet current students and teachers in the Art School.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some photos.  This event is Free and Open to the Public.

Broken Plate Mosaics:

Recycle your broken dishware to decorate a vase in the style of

Antonio Gaudi.




Pastel Painting: Learn to make your pastels sing and be luminous.





Open Figure Drawing starts January 7th – Saturday afternoons, 1 – 4pm $15 for current art students, $20 for others.

Try your hand at sculpting in plaster by creating a table top sculpture of a Mobius using wet plaster.







Re-awaken your creativity at the Art School, new daytime, evening and Saturday art classes.

The 7-week term runs from 2/29 to 4/16.

New classes include Pastels with Roxene Sloate, and Portrait Painting from Photographs.

After school classes for teens and kids include Post-processing Photography and (clothed) Figure drawing.
