The 3rd Annual West Palm Beach Arts Festival presented by the Armory Art Center will feature local and out-of-town artists, live music, demonstrations, food trucks, and activities for all ages.Scheduled at the perfect time for holiday shopping, the campus hosts space for 90 tents throughout the Armory’s campus. Festival will be held outdoors in the sculpture garden and in the parking lot.

 

 

 

Artists will have the opportunity to interact with the public through art demos and booth chats. Kid’s activities make the festival a perfect experience for families.

 

 

 

 

The Armory Art Center is on the south end of Howard Park within walking distance of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, the Palm Beach Convention Center, Hilton West Palm Beach, and CityPlace. Join us for this exciting weekend event!

Wellington Art Society Awards Scholarships At Next Meeting

The Wellington Art Society will present their annual Art Scholarship Awards to Palm Beach County graduating seniors who are planning a college major in visual arts at either a 2 or 4 year institution. The Scholarship Awards are based on a combination of their art work, GPA average, artist’s statement, career goals and recommendations from a faculty member. The presentations will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.  The Rickie Report shares the information and congratulates not only the scholarship winners, but WAS for their vision and fortitude in preserving the love of the arts!

The Wellington Art Society Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 and has provided many talented young artists with funds for their art related expenses such as art or photographic supplies, books or tuition for visual arts classes. Proceeds from the Art Society’s art exhibitions, Art Fest on the Green and the Whole Foods Market solo art exhibits help support the Scholarship Fund.

 

 

The Wellington Art Society is a non-profit charitable organization In its 35th year. It is open to artists of all mediums and patrons of the arts, allowing both local and regional artists to display their art work in local galleries, interact with other artists and serve the community through their art.

Men and women are welcome to become members of WITVA.  The public is invited to the exhibit and the Opening Reception on October 30th.  In addition, the Armory’s  glass, jewelry, and ceramic studios will be Open to the Public that evening.
