Art On Park Gallery Announces “Still Life” Exhibit And Call To Artists, Classes, Art Salons

Art on Park Gallery announces more activities for all ages, artists and art lovers alike!  The public is invited to view the current Exhibit:  Joe And Irma Friedman” through March 23rd.  We share the Call for the “Still Life 2018” Exhibit, which will open on May 4th. Admission to the Gallery is free, with free parking.  The Artists of Palm Beach County offer free demos, workshops, classes, a poetry reading, and live model drawing sessions.  These are open to non-members as well as members.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks.

Go to the “APBC Exhibitions” tab on the left side column of the Home page. Go to the STILL LIFE 2017 event and click on the provided link.
After you enter/edit the information fields, go to the bottom of the page to: “Exhibition Name” “Select an Exhibition Name.” Select STILL LIFE 2017, then click the last link: “proceed to Submit . . .”
You should have your images ready to upload (JPEG format only, no larger than 3 MB each). After you have chosen ALL your images click the UPLOAD button. You will then be asked to fill in the name, medium, size and price of each image. When this is complete you have reached the final step. Click the button. As of today, a studio/display spaces is available.

The space is approximately 10′ wide, 5′ deep and 10′ high on the back wall.

The rental fee is $150/month for a 6 month lease. First and last required to start.

The artist must be a member of APBC.

This workshop teaches the basics of portrait drawing from observing the human head at various angles, to the proportions of the head and face, to studies of facial features. The word `mandala’ is a Sanskrit word meaning `circle’ or `completion’. The circle is the constant and eternal flow of energy that flows within and without. The mandala is recognized for its representation of wholeness, the cosmos and the universal life force. Join us to learn the basics of mandala making and benefit from not only your finished painting, but from the process of creating a powerful personal expression as individual as you are.

Kelley Allen is a local Palm Beach Gardens artist. She has been bead weaving since 2007 and melting glass since 2009. She is a member of the Artists of Palm Beach County, the Florida Glass Dragons and the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
