Each club juries in the best of their members’ work from the past season including everything from stone sculpture to cold wax encaustic, from watercolors to photographs.

The Lighthouse ArtCenter, a 501c (3) not-for-profit, was founded in 1964 by eight artists and Christopher Norton. In the last 54 years it has grown to include a gallery, school of art, gift shop, and art supply store. Supported by memberships, sponsors, and grants the ArtCenter now serves over 20,000 guests, 2,500 students, 45 faculty members, 500 summer ArtCampers and a comprehensive outreach program to benefit underserved and disabled residents in the community.

 Collaboration and cooperation are key to the Lighthouse ArtCenter’s latest exhibition, which runs through August 13. The Lighthouse ArtCenter’s 5th Annual “Art of Association” heralds more than 240 original works of art from more than 100 exhibiting artists. Participating art groups include Art Associates of Martin County, Artists Association of Jupiter, Artists of Palm Beach County, Artists in Florida, Hobe Sound Fine Arts League, Lake Worth Art League, Lighthouse ArtCenter Artists’ Guild, North County Art Association, Palm Beach County Art Teacher’s Association, Plein Air Palm Beach, South Florida Basket & Fiber Guild, Wellington Art Society and Women In the Visual Arts.

Admission is free for Lighthouse ArtCenter Members and visiting artists or $10 for nonmember visitors. The exhibition is open during Museum hours which are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free on Saturday, with hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. As part of the national Blue Star Museum initiative, admission is free year round to active military and their families with valid military I.D.
