5th Annual Martin County Open Studio Tour Offers Free Guide To Artists’ Workspaces And Galleries Saturday, March 6 And Sunday, March 7

Meet thirty highly creative regional artists and craftspeople at the 5th Annual Martin County Open Studio Tour (MCOST) on March 6 & 7 , 2021.  This Free event brings art lovers to 21 different studios with a self-guided map. At the studios, watch the artists creating their work, interact with them, learn about how they create and see what materials they use. Some will offer refreshments and special surprises! Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of the thriving arts scene in Martin County!  Meet the artists, ask questions, explore new venues and see their newest drawings, watercolors, oils, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and fiber arts that they will be displaying and selling.  The Rickie Report shares the details and some sneak peeks.

Elliott Museum Features Martin Artisans Guild Paintings, Photography, Wearable Art, Sculpture, And Glass As Prelude To Martin County Open Studio Tour. Opening Reception Is Wednesday, February 17

Once a year, the best artists in Martin County open their studios to the public and give you the opportunity to see the creative process in person!  We will provide a map to the artists’ studios, and you can visit as many of them as you would like. The Martin Artisans Guild Announces Their December Exhibition And Reception At The Palm Room In Harbour Bay Plaza.  The Opening Reception is Wednesday, December 2, 2020 and includes refreshments, music and a chance to meet the artists. The Featured artists include: Photographer Barry Steven Greff, sculptor Eduardo Gomez Rojas, fiber artist Jacquelyn Roesch-Sanchez, and painters Lynn Morgan, Robert Moore and Sue Klahne. The Rickie Report shares the details, some sneak peeks, and an introduction to the artists. Jacquelyn Roesch-Sanchez creates fiber art that is about color and combinations of color that change continuously to form spectrums. Her inspiration comes from nature. Jacquelyn’s unique pieces include wearable and decorative art.

Working in either pastels or oils, Lynn Morgan finds color to be her passion. Using photographs for inspiration, her work is more abstract and expressive than realistic.

Creative impressionistic pop-art artist Robert Moore presents a wide variety of images inspired by memories and the world around him. His unique and colorful acrylic paintings present views of the familiar with a realistic, portrait-like feel.

Sue Klahne enjoys the freedom of creating fluid abstract art with acrylics and other art mediums. Her paintings are largely inspired by the various blue hues of the ocean and the flow and power of the waves.
