Sophia Stern Designs

While growing up in New York City, Sophia Stern had a fascination with trying on her mother’s jewelry. By the age of 14, she realized that she had the opportunity to create her own as a hobby, but that wasn’t enough. One day, while she was in the family jewelry business in New York City, her fascination for small shiny objects took over and she fell in love with gem stones. She realized that the opportunities to create something fascinating and unique were endless and knew that this was her calling. From there on out, her entire life has been about creating. For twenty- two years, she has been honing her craft and in 2011, Sophia Stern Designs was born. Her jewelry focuses on handcrafted necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings that combine semi- precious stones with metals such as solid brass, gold filled, copper, pewter and silver to create one of kind pieces.

Gaia’s Treasures & Custom Creations

Gaia’s Treasures and Custom Creations will be presenting bold and exquisite beaded Tibetan jewelry. Each piece is a work of art that incorporates silver, turquoise, coral and other semi-precious gemstones into unique designs. Elaine Durow and Cass Stryker, bring their jewelry from the Himalaya region of Tibet hand crafted by many artisans who left Tibet due to political and religious reasons. Their “French Bakelite” look made from amber copal, other saps and resin, results in stunning and unusual pieces and shapes.

In addition to Gaia’s Treasures, Custom Creations and Sophia Stern Designs, the JCC will also have a beautiful collection of rare orchids. Millers Way Orchids has a complete selection of unusual and colorful varieties to complement your lifestyle and décor. For any orchid lover out there, they will know that this flower is almost unreal in its perfection. There are about 208 species of orchids that are native to the United States and there is no other flower that looks quite like this. In addition, these flowers tend to bloom for a great deal longer than most flowers lasting from two to three months.

Call For Entries: “The ARTNADO Village – The Best Of All Worlds” On February 11 & 12, 2017

Artistic Synergy Inc. will be offering an expanded and more robust version of ARTNADO at the Expo Center of the South Florida Fairgrounds.  “The ARTNADO Village – The Best of All Worlds” will take place on February 11 & 12, 2017.  Locally known as “season”, when 40% of the wealth of America is in residence and a large population of Canadian “snowbirds” are in their winter retreats, ARTNADO will be offering a total of $2,500.00 in prize money.  The Rickie Report shares the details about the expanded show’s different venues, including indoor and outdoor spaces.

Artnado201756fc4e5041082

Artnado201756fd9833a1400

One of the innovative concepts of ARTNADO this year will be the “Private Gallery”, which will allow artists, who have not been able to reach out to patrons at art fairs, the opportunity to do so. (These are private sales and as such will not be eligible for the prize money). In keeping with Artistic Synergy’s philosophy of helping artists, any artist who submits work to the Private Gallery and then subsequently sells that work prior to the show (which, of course, is the goal) will be allowed to submit an alternate piece for judging without any additional entry fee.

Artnado2017Image00023
All applications and fees will be handled through ZAPP, a national interface between artists and promoters, which is free for artists to join. Each artist submitting an entry for the Private Gallery will also be required to email Artistic Synergy an artist statement as well as a description of each piece. This will be required, so that their Docents may represent you as best as they may.

Additionally the ARTNADO Village will be comprised of the following:

The Venues

50,000 square feet indoors and 10,000 outdoors

The Private Gallery –

A small curated enclosed Gallery showcasing 8 to 12 works of art by artists who cannot or do not do art shows.

The Grand Salon –

The massive indoor space reserved for Fine Art.

Avenue of the Arts –

The outdoor portico leading to the concourse buildings. Ideal for large sculptures, outdoor designs, kinetic pieces and living art.

The Concourse Buildings –

This is where the journey through the diversity of American arts begins. Within these walls, completely separate from the Fine Arts building and offered for the first time, patrons may explore the intricacies of: the Human Form, the Art of the Tattoo (the most unforgiving canvas), Fantasy Art, Exotic Art, Pinups, Dark Art, and whatever else the American mind is currently creating.

In addition to the traditional 10 x10 space they offer 10×20 and a 20×20 gallery space in the Grand Salon only

– air conditioning

-24 hour security

-prior day load-in

– gated secured vender parking

– maintained indoor restrooms

– better illumination of your art (no tents or tent tops, just pro panels or, however, else you want to set up your “gallery”

-available electricity for you to illuminate your work properly

If you have any questions

Please call Jack Busa at 561-557-8741

From Jack Busa, Chief Creative Executive

“We will list the categories that most fairs use but are not limiting the number. This process sometimes allows for very good artists to not be accepted because a category is full and other media, with possibly less interesting work, is still being promoted. Given that ARTNADO is inside and electricity is available, there is the opportunity for under showcased art in digital or kinetics to be shown. Given the genesis of the fair by artists and patrons, the key consideration will be the work and the creative process. There is a difference between artists who are creative, those who are artistic and those who are both. While we need to have and will have balance, we will also must try not to “lock out” deserving artists such as yourself”.

“We do not require white tents for a homogeneous look, after all, you are not all the same. There are not just parallel rows of artists. The show is laid out in a grid with small conclaves of artists surround by walkways. This optimizes corners and end-caps, and allows patrons to have a gestalt of your work”.

“You can no longer be just an artist, you need to be an artist/curator and entrepreneur. Your assigned space is yours to design as you want to represent you and your work. The most successful artists understand that for less than the price of a one time quarter page ad in a local newspaper they can create a 3D ad of their work. They have incorporated the tools necessary to develop a client base and future commission work. They have taken advantage of art/entrepreneurship courses and are marketing themselves. This show, unlike almost any other, created for individual artists, is designed for you to do that.”

ARTNADO Brings Nationally Renown Fine Artists And Crafters To Premier Show

ARTNADO is coming to West Palm Beach!  Jack Busa is bringing a new-concept juried art show to our area. “Artnado” takes place at the South Florida Fairgrounds, featuring 2D and 3D creations on November 14th and 15th, 2015. This indoor show has a lot to offer to art patrons. Using high-technology, patrons will be able to see participating artists’ work in situ as well as in their exhibition areas. Artists will be demonstrating their techniques to further educate the art loving public. The Rickie Report applauds this trend, believing that better informed art lovers become more enthusiastic art patrons. The Student Art Contest participants will also be celebrated! We want to point out that there is no connection between the presenting organization, Artistic Synergy and Art Synergy (ARTWEEK at Art Palm Beach). Here are the details and some sneak peeks!

Jack Busa, of Artistic Synergy sent out a Call to Artists for a unique juried exhibition taking place at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The number of nationally recognized artists who applied is exceptional. Artnado will feature 2D and 3D art, photography, jewelry or whatever combination the creative mind conjures. Jack explains, “‘Synergy’ is supplied with the incorporation and interaction of models, an embellishment room and ambient music”.

Jack tells The Rickie Report, ‘We created ARTNADO realizing that no one can know or predict the complete buying habits of the attendees. Our juried process took into consideration the artists’ work from talent, inspiration and creativity…we did not to classify something as “not art” because it does not fit what “we” expect… Artists need to promote themselves or they will have a limited career. Our goal is to show the artists’ creativity in the most favorable way…and demonstrate their work to appeal to all potential buyers.”

ARTNADO Invites Local Art Associations And Art-Related Non-Profits To Receive FREE Booth Space- Plus New Artist Discounts

Artistic Synergy Inc., through it’s inaugural show ARTNADO, has established two main goals. The first is to provide a robust indoor environment designed to showcase the artists and their work in ways that cannot be accomplished with the traditional outdoor tent shows. The second is to help promote the arts in Southeast Florida.  The Rickie Report shares the details for Art Associations and Art-Related Non-Profits Organizations to receive FREE 10 x 10 booth spaces. Individual artists who are part of any Non-Profit or Art Association taking booth space will be entitled to a discount on their OWN booth! Artists who have taken part in any Art Marketing Seminar with Rickie Leiter are also eligible for a discount on their own booth space!  Don’t miss  the August 1st cut off for a 15% general discount on other booth spaces! More details will follow about the Student Art Contest.  We remind our readers that ARTNADO and Artistic Synergy Inc. is a different entity from Art Synergy/Art Palm Beach.

artnado-ad-1-30-15

Jack Busa, Chief Creative Executive, is announcing a gift of FREE 10×10 space for all area Art Associations and Art related Non-Profits.  He tells The Rickie Report, “This will enable your organization to inform the public about what you do, in addition to offering membership opportunities and displaying examples of past and current events. Your members will be able to display but not sell their work from your space. Because ARTNADO is already offering the lowest price per square foot for juried art shows, we understand that artists are concerned about their expenses. Therefore, any member of an organization that takes advantage of this offer, will be given a 10% rebate on the price of the exhibition space they choose to display and sell their art.”

Any artists who has taken part in an Art Marketing Seminar involving Rickie Leiter, Publisher of The Rickie Report will be eligible for a 15% rebate on individual booth space.  Fill out the ZAPP and then send a separate email to Artistic Synergy Inc telling them you have been a participant.

Jack explains, “Since all applications need to be submitted through ZAPP there is no provisions for a two-tier pricing structure. Hence a refund check will be issued ARTNADO’s  move-in date on November 13th.”

This offer, when combined with the options of either a 10×10, 10×20 and even a 20×20 “personal gallery” exhibition area, offers an unprecedented exposure for most of the area’s artist.

UPCOMING STUDENT ART CONTEST

In addition, a Student Art Contest will be formally announced soon. If you know  any young artists who would like to get an early start, the information is available on our website artisticsynergy.org.

ARTNADO is looking for partners to be Drop-Off Centers for Student Artwork around the County.  Please email or call to make arrangements.  You will be included in future advertising, marketing and promotions!

For more information send an e-mail to artisticsynergy@mail.com requesting a space and  you will be called to confirm the details.

If you have any questions, please call  561-557-8741 and ask to speak directly to Jack Busa.
