Boca Raton Museum School Art School Offers Gallery Tours In NYC, Classes in Boca Raton, Exhibits and Saturday Workshops
The Boca Raton Museum Art School is mixing things up a little! Walter O’Neill, the Boca Museum Art School Director, is going to NYC to meet up with ‘snowbirds’. He will lead tours of art galleries in Chelsea and the Lower East Side on October 21st and October 23rd. Fall term classes start Monday, October 26th in Boca Raton. Sugar Sand Park is hosting an exhibit of artwork by adults and teenage artists from the Boca Raton Museum Art School. Saturday Workshops on November 14th are fun and creative: Check out the offerings in Ceramics, Creating Black Coral Jewelry and Learning the Fundamentals of Drawing. Walter tells The Rickie Report,“I thought it would be fun to get together with Boca Museum Art School ‘snowbirds’ to look at art while I am in New York City. We will visit a selection of 8 to 10 galleries that exhibit abstract and representational art. Depending on what is on exhibit we may visit well-known galleries as well as lesser known galleries. Participants are responsible for transportation and all other expenses”.

Sugar Sand Park is hosting an exhibit of artwork by adults and teenage artists from the Boca Raton Museum Art School. Over 90 artworks will be on display through December 2. Meet the artists at the opening reception Friday, November 5, 6-8pm.
Saturday Workshops on November 14
Ceramics Holiday Platter, 1 – 4 PM
Create and design a serving platter from scratch. Roll out the wet and learn ways to add texture and designs. Your platter will be kiln-fired and ready to be glazed on the following Saturday.
Florida Black Coral Jewelry Noon – 5 PM.
Create your own unique jewelry using Florida black coral. Learn to bend, polish the color and finish with sterling silver findings.
Fundamentals of Drawing Accurately 1 – 5 PM.
Learn the techniques artists use to calculate proportion to learn to accurately draw people.
