Town of Jupiter Art Gallery display is located near SE parking garage and Another Broke Egg Cafe.

Caryl tells The Rickie Report, “My creative journey began as a child with oil painting lessons, and continued through my college years with an emphasis on graphic design. I enjoyed a career in graphic design, marketing and printing sales as a young adult. After moving to Florida 20+ years ago, I established and enjoyed a very successful career in real estate sales”.

Cary Pomales “Everglades Couche de Soleil”

She continues, “Within the past few years I have been blessed to have the opportunity to retire from my full time career and without hesitation I have reengaged my creative self by taking various painting classes and workshops to include Acrylic, Oil and Watercolor classes with many accomplished artists. I have rekindled my passion to paint”!

Caryl Pomales “Floral bol en verre”

The beauty of her natural surroundings, fauna and flora inspire Caryl. “The vivid color and pronounced texture I see are key elements that are demonstrated within my paintings.  Travel and photography as my second passion has afforded me the opportunity to capture many exhilarating scenes throughout the United States, Europe and southern Africa. I often refer to my travel photographs as my inspiration”.

Cary Pomales “Bandoola of Botswana”

Excitedly, Caryl shares, “I am currently painting a series of small paintings in oils, which reflect my recent visit to the Tuscany and Umbria regions of Italy. My viewers recognize my paintings by my utilization of vibrant color choices and pronounced impasto texture or prominent brush stroke. A sense of joy and passion is implemented and identified within my body of work”.

Caryl Pomales “Cinque Picora”

Caryl resides in Stuart Florida with her husband and family of pets.  She says, “I am grateful as well as influenced by the remarkable aqua blue ocean, spectacular cloud formations, striking sunrise and sunsets as well as the unique fauna and flora of the Indian River Lagoon”.

Caryl Pomales  “Champ de coquelicots”

Caryl has studied with many accomplished artists including, Alessandra Gieffers, Julia Kelly, Peggy Kirkwood, Nancy Medina, Dennis Perrin, Dreama Toll Perry, & Mary Bentz-Gilkerson.  Recent recognitions include an award for her impressionistic style, bold brush stroke and vivid color painting, “Picasso-Le Chat” from the 39th Annual Members’ Show at the Lighthouse ArtCenter/Gallery. Her paintings were exhibited at the Members 6th Art of Association collaborative-juried exhibit featuring artists from sixteen Art Associations located throughout Palm Beach and Martin Counties in Florida and one of 27 artists featured in “Size Matters”, at The Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, FL.  In addition, she was honored to be invited as a SOLO artist to exhibit at the Sewall’s Point Town Hall in Sewall’s Point/Stuart, FL.  Caryl is an active member of Artists of Florida-LLC, North County Art Association, Benefactor and Artists’ Guild Member of the Lighthouse Art Center, The Arts Council of Martin County FL, Elliott Museum/ Stuart, FL, The Lake Worth Art League, Wellington Art Society, Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park and The Audubon Society, Martin County FL Chapter.
