Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts invites you to the Best Halloween Party Ever!  Their annual Dark Arts Ball is truly a Spooktacular Soiree full of magic, mysteries, sorcery, potions, elixirs, naughty nibbles, and a bone rattling jazz band!  Friday, October 25 promises fun, smoke belching dragons, and fire spitting infernos!  The Rickie Report shares the details and some photos from last year, including cash prize winning costumes and blood curdling glass blown creations!

Each year our Fusing Instructors, Camille Perrin and Joan Ives, go all out to create the Best Halloween Party Ever!  They spend days putting up some of the ghoulish decorations you’ve ever seen!  After all, they’ve been collecting this stuff for decades!!!

Thus, our annual Dark Arts Ball is truly a ‘Spooktacular Soiree’ full of magic, mysteries, sorcery, potions and elixirs, naughty nibbles, a bone rattling jazz band, smoke belching dragons, and fire spitting infernos!  There will be cash prizes for the best costumes ($100 for 1st prize) and lots of great door prizes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Senior Resident Artist, Rob Stern and Junior Resident Artist, Eli Cecil, will be on hand to create some really blood-curdling glass-blown creations in live demos throughout the event.  Clarke Graebner, our Flameworking Instructor, will be creating creepy skulls and skeletons with melted glass.

Join in some “Spooktacular” activities on Saturday, October 27th during the Halloween Celebration at Original Elements Art & Gift Gallery.  Enjoy complimentary lite bites, live music, great art, and accessories. Lorrie Goss, a clay fountain artist will teach a ceramic bisque tile painting class.  Painted tiles will be fired in a kiln and available later for pickup at the gallery. Heather Anderson, an artist/painter will teach a painting class.  Space is limited so you need to RSVP. Experience friendly haunt-ings from our gallery artists and local wellness advocates. Lorrie Goss, one of our accomplished ceramic fountain artists will host a ceramic bisque tile painting class. The tile design can be used for a trivet or insert tile for a backsplash. Participants will be involved with creating designs, pat- terns and pictures using ceramic underglazes. e piece once completed will be red in a kiln and available for the participant to pickup at Original Elements Art & Gift Gallery. Participants are encouraged to bring their own design they wish to create. Or, Lorrie will have designs to choose from: ocean theme or holiday theme. The cost is $35 and will cover the ceramic tile, glazes, and firing the finished glazed tile. Call the gallery at 561-575-1002 for details and to sign up for the painting class.

 

 

 

Heather Anderson, a talented local artist and painter will be teaching a painting class. The class will paint a Loggerhead Turtle. Heather enjoys painting Florida nature and seascapes. The cost for this class is $35 and will cover all supplies to create a work of art. Call the gallery at 561-575-1002 for details and to sign up for the painting class.
