Cornell Museum Of Art Hosts 2nd Annual Extraordinary 6×6 Art Sale

Experience extraordinary art and take home an original! The Cornell Museum of Art will host its 2nd annual Extraordinary Art Sale on Thursday, June 25th. A unique display of donated 6×6-inch works will be on sale for just $30. Guests will receive a group number when they arrive, and groups will be called in a random order, giving guests a chance to tag the piece they want. Media includes paintings, drawings, photography, collage, glass, wood and ceramics.  The Rickie Report gives you the details and a sneak peek at some of the artwork, by artists from Palm Beach County, New Orleans, North Carolina and New York!  What a great WIN-WIN! The Cornell Museum has reached out to local artists and artist groups to participate. Additionally, works from artists in New Orleans, New York and North Carolina will be included. The goal for donations is 100 pieces.

Art Sale guests will be able to also enjoy the Museum’s current exhibits, BLING: Art that Shines and ADORNMENT: Faculty Showcase. Admission is a $5 donation. A cash bar and light bites will be available.

 

 

DELRAY BEACH CENTER FOR THE ARTS

 

Now celebrating its 25th Anniversary Season, Delray Beach Center for the Arts offers “a total arts experience™” through events, theater, exhibits and learning opportunities. The historic campus includes the intimate Crest Theatre (in the restored 1925 Delray High School building) the Cornell Museum of Art (in the 1913 Delray Elementary building), and the Vintage Gymnasium (c. 1925). The Pavilion, which opened in 2002, hosts outdoor concerts and festivals. The School of Creative Arts (located on the second floor of the Crest Theatre) offers art, photography and writing classes and workshops. The Center also serves as a venue for community, corporate, private and media events.
