Shop ‘Til You Drop is THE Shopping Event of the Season! The Friends of MacArthur Beach State Park will host its 5th Annual Shop ‘Til You Drop event on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at The Country Club at Mirasol. Attendees will shop top fashion, accessories and home décor while sipping on complimentary mimosas and enjoying a beautiful buffet lunch.  The Rickie Report shares the details. Support this FUNdraiser which underwrites the Natural Science Education Programs, providing free, hands-on field experiences to over 5000 Palm Beach County Students annually!

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, Palm Beach County’s only state park, is situated on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Lake Worth Lagoon. The Park is made up of 438 acres of pristine coastal land and contains four different communities or habitats including seven species of plants and twenty-two species of animals on the endangered or threatened list. MacArthur Beach is truly an “Island in Time.”

Durga Garcia’s ABCs on Getting Your Work Out There Part I

Durga tells The Rickie Report, “This is what I have learned after 5 years of entering art shows… From my first local show in Delray Beach, living through those first rejections and not winning 1st prize, to now entering international level competitions, exhibiting Internationally and winning awards.  I have now graduated to being asked to review portfolios and be a juror to shows.  These experiences have given me a special insight for helping to ensure success and not taking rejections personally.”
