The Boca Raton Museum Art School invites the public to the 6th Annual Boca Photo Exhibit on Sunday, September 15.  Enjoy free admission and lectures!  The Open Figure Adult Drawing Studio reopens on Saturdays through season. Join Allan Pierce, instructor and professional photographer, for a day of informal discussions and workshops on photography led by advanced students of the Art School.

 

Near and Far

Hope Ruslin reviews her process of exploring her surroundings in finding exciting subjects for her photography.

 

Cameras, Lenses, Filters

Dennis Sperling and Stephen Saltz will explore new innovations in photographic equipment.  Workshop will also also address  concerns participants might have in  operating their own cameras including iPhones, etc.

 

Staging Photographs

Jill Weintraub will demonstrate photographic  techniques in staging models and situations. This is a hands-on workshop; bring your iPhones and cameras and participate in the process.

 

Photographs from our presenters and advanced photography students will concurrently be displayed at the Art School Gallery. Refreshments will be served.

Boca Raton Museum Art School Announces October Events, Group Exhibits, SOLO Exhibit, And New Classes For All Levels And Ages

The Boca Raton Museum Art School is busy with on-site exhibitions and events!  The short Term 1B (4 weeks) starts on Oct. 1st and Term 2 starts on October 29th.  Everyone is invited to the 5th Annual Boca Photo Exhibit on Sunday, October 7th. Join Allan Pierce, instructor/professional photographer, for a day of informal discussions and workshops on photography led by advanced students of the Art School.   The first Student’s Exhibition Opening Reception takes place on Tuesday, October 16th.  Celebrate the first term student’s artwork at the Art School main gallery. Exploring Acrylics with Instructor Vicki Siegel:

The class focuses on various foundation skills for painting in a creative atmosphere. Learn how to get started, setup a palette and mix color, brushwork, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, glazing, layering, texture, and how to use gels and mediums.
