“We are so thankful for the continued support of the community for the ArtCenter,” said Nancy Politsch, CEO/CFO of the ArtCenter. “The event depends on the generous donations from artists and we were fortunate that over 300 works of art were donated.”
Marcus Rothermich and Allissa Rothermich
The Honorary Chair is Roseanne Williams and Pat DeAloia is the Chair. Jason and Nicole Newsted are the Guests of Honor. “Everyone appreciates what the Lighthouse ArtCenter means to our community,” said Mrs. DeAloia. “The staff and volunteers work hard to provide programs to enrich our lives here in South Florida and I am proud to be a part of this incredible evening.”
At D’Art for Art, each guest is assigned an artist’s name to form 10 groups. As guests arrive they enjoy cocktails and gourmet hors d’oeuvres while perusing the gallery of over 300 pieces of displayed art and jewelry, noting their favorites on their “Wish List.” After enjoying a delicious dinner, it’s time to “dart!” When their artist’s name is randomly drawn, their group “darts” to their chosen piece of art, putting their claim on the work of art that they will be taking home.
Conrad Weymann and Mallory Weymann
“We are investing in the future of the arts in our community and this is our major fundraiser. Each year we raise scholarship monies for summer ArtCamp so kids, no matter what their financial circumstances are, can experience all the benefits of art classes,” said Sue Snyder, Director of Development. “In furthering that effort, we will also be also be focusing on our “Raising the Roof” fundraising campaign to build a second story on our Gallery to add five additional classrooms.”
