Discover and expand your creative side with classes and workshops at Old School Square’s Creative Arts School!  Adults and kids at all skill levels are discovering and expanding their creative side with art classes in drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, jewelry making, printmaking and paper clay. Fine art photography and digital imaging classes are available for beginner through master level. This class will revitalize your photography practice by exploring your relationship to your subject, your camera, and yourself. Through photo exercises, assignments, and field trips, we will learn to deepen our visual awareness while clarifying our approach, so that image making becomes both more personal and meaningful. Bring a sense of commitment (and sense of humor) and curiosity to class, as well as a few examples of recent work to the first session.

Ralph Papa’s Plein Air Painting Workshop is Friday, December 11th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Workshop fee is $165. This one-day workshop is geared for artists at all levels to improve their ability to sketch and paint outdoors. This one-day workshop includes instructor demonstrations, scene selection criteria, tools of the trade, setup, composition, perspective, color selection and mixing followed by a critique and Q&A session.

Workshop participants will meet at the Creative Arts School, located on the second floor of the Crest Theatre building. Artists will be set up on the Old School Square grounds and can work in the medium of their choice.

RALPH PAPA teaches drawing and painting at his Delray studio and at the Creative Arts School. He is a member of the Garrison Art Center, the Delray Art League, Past President of the Artists’ Guild of the Boca Museum and co-founder of Plein Air Painters of Palm Beach. His paintings range from studio works composed of real and imagined themes to figurative, portraits and plein air paintings. His works are in public and private collections in the U.S. and Canada. If you love drawing and fashion, you’ll love this!  This 3-hour workshop is for all levels and includes instruction in rendering fashion figures and garments through a variety of media and techniques.

HANA DAVIS attended Pratt Institute and Fashion Institute of Technology where she studied Fashion Design and illustration.  Hana worked at Breckenridge and Joe Benbassett designing and illustrating Junior Sportswear.  She has taught classes in Figure Drawing and Fashion Illustration to adults and children.  Her work has been exhibited at the Nassau County Museum of Art, the Hecksher Museum, the Art League of Long Island, and the Boca Raton Museum of Art.
