“Oodles of Doodles” by Susan Schanerman

Don’t miss the Solo exhibition featuring the artistic accomplishments of 70 year old Susan Schanerman. An artist and writer who has overcome many obstacles in her life stemming from a paralyzing case of polio at age 7, Susan considers herself “a very late bloomer.” She didn’t pick up her first paint brush until 1995 . . . and then it took another 20 years to “put herself and her work out there.”

“Rainbow Woods” by Susan Schanerman

Susan’s work, or “heART”, as she likes to call it, is playful, whimsical, uplifting, inspiring and FUN. She uses vibrant color and the child-like tone speaks for the child within us all . . . the child who still knows freedom, innocence and joy . . . “I can only hope that my “heART” can add just a little bit of light and joy to a very dark world.”

“Flower Extravaganza” by Susan Schanerman

Susan’s “heART” is now her passion. She believes there is creativity in us all. It’s our very nature and acts as a means of communication, heart to heart, soul to soul. In 2004, Susan came up with the idea of “heARTmatters: There’s ART in Every heART”.   She has now expanded on that idea . . . and so the title of this show . . . “heARTmatters: It’s Never Too Late to Create. “There is more and more evidence supporting the idea that any kind of art-making is actually good for your health!” Schanerman says.

“The Glory Of Creation” by Susan Schanerman

This will be Susan’s second Solo Exhibition of her heART. Her first Solo Show was hosted by VSA Palm Beach County.   It is her deepest desire that her work “Touches Your Heart, Stirs Your Soul and Puts a Smile on Your Face!!”

Vicki Siegel Exhibits Acrylic and Mixed Media Paintings at Multiple Venues

With work in multiple venues, including a SOLO show, artist Vicki Siegel has been pouring her creative energy into new work and organizing a SOLO exhibit with a range of work from the last ten years.  Her paintings include images of both collective and personal memories. The Rickie Report is pleased to share the details of her exhibits and hopes you will stop by to view some of her wonderful, dreamlike creations.

Vicki Siegel’s paintings are informed by memory, both personal and collective. “Memories are imperfect representations of the past that are altered, fragmented, reconstructed and reinterpreted over time” says Siegel. “In my narrations details are found in layers often revealing something forgotten or missing from actual experiences or by the collective memories we share”.
