Help Relieve “Summer Slide” – Summer Reading Program For Kids And Teens
The West Palm Beach Library Foundation needs your help! Every summer, the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach hosts the Summer Reading program for kids and teens to help minimize “summer slide” and keep them reading at or above their grade levels. Each reader keeps a reading log of how long and what they read. Children are reading for 20 minutes and teens are reading 40 minutes. The Rickie Report shares the details with OUR readers! Thank you!
Donate Today For a Life Time of
Reading For Others
Readers can choose from any book in the library that they like. As a reward, these kids and teens will be able to pick a book from the 72,00 books we buy for them to take home and start their own home libraries. For many of them, these books are the first books they own!
The Foundation needs help getting these books. Each book costs anywhere from $3.50 – $4.00. Donate now and help spark young readers’ imaginations for years to come!
