West Palm Beach Juneteenth Celebration Opens Juried Call To Visual Artists For June 19 Community Wide Event

The 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration will be held at the Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach on Saturday, June 19, 2021.  Over 30 community partners formed to commemorate the date when Union soldiers enforced the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing all remaining enslaved people on June 19, 1865, almost two years after President Lincoln signed the original document. The committee issued a call to visual artists who want to sell their original artwork or handmade creations.  The Rickie Report shares the details and application process in this article. Deadline for submission is June 12.
