The event presented by BBX Capital takes place on Thursday, May 19, in downtown Fort Lauderdale in the lobbies of buildings 401, 301 and 201 E. In the lobbies of buildings 401, 301 and 201 E. Las Olas Blvd.

 

 

 

BFA will accept 2D work, no larger than 60” wide by 60” high, and 3D art such as sculpture, ceramics, fashion or any other free-standing artwork. Accepted artists will be responsible for providing pedestal(s) to display their work and will have to deliver and set up the art themselves.

 

 

The theme and medium are open, including but not limited to photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, paper art, fiber art, wood, clay, metal, glass, sculpture, fashion, mixed media and NFTs. Works should not exceed 30 lbs.

 

 

The fee to enter is $30 and artists will be allowed to submit up to two entries that they have personally created. Works selected are based on originality, creativity, craftsmanship and artistic distinction.

 

 

 

All work(s) must be submitted as a 300 dpi jpeg(s) via online submission at bfabroward.org/programs/art-stroll/art-stroll-artist-entry-form. Each digital jpeg file of the submitted work must be included in the ART + STROLL artist’s online entry form with artist’s name and title. 

 

 

 

The deadline to submit is Friday, April 1 by midnight.

 

 

Accepted artists will be notified by April 15 and receive one complimentary VIP ticket to the event gaining access to the food and beverage areas in each lobby.

 

Accepted works may be used for marketing purposes, and the artists will have the opportunity to showcase and sell their work to attendees from the business community and key sponsors. Cash prizes totaling $5,000 will be awarded to artists as follows: 1st place $3,500, 2nd place $1,000 and people’s choice $500. Artists will also be responsible for the delivery of their work to the buyer(s), if sold, and BFA keeps 25% commission on any sold artwork.

Annual South Florida Fair Art Village Opens Call For Artists. Juried Exhibit And Art Demonstrations Open To All Artists

The Annual South Florida Fair includes an Art Village, offering fine arts and crafts plus artist demonstrations to its visitors. The Fair is the main event on the Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach, FL which occurs over a 17 day period. The Fair’s theme is Rocking Robots!  More than half a million visitors will attend from January 14 – 30, 2022. The South Florida Fair, Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest event, is open Monday-Thursday, 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Martin Luther King Day, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Artists’ works will be showcased in Building #2   “Artist Alley” on the Main Concourse.

   

The Vision:  The exhibition shares the Fair’s vision of cultural expansion, while showcasing artists’ talents.  Artists are invited to be on-site during the Fair at scheduled times to interact with Fair guests.

 

 

Exhibit area specifics: The interior wooden walls are eight feet high, providing a nice backdrop to showcase your framed art. The air-conditioned facility also features small windows near the ceiling; overhead and accent lighting is available.     

 

 

Timetable:  All artwork must be brought to the Fairgrounds between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday– Monday, January 3,4  and must remain on location until the Fair’s closing on January 30.  Artwork can be picked up between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, January 31. 

 

 

FAQ: 

  • Sales: Selling your Artwork is permissible at the end of the Fair.

  • Security: The Fair has 24-hour security with a designated guard assigned to this area during operational hours.  

  • Insurance: Please make sure your artwork is covered under your policy. 

  • Handling of the Art: Only the artist and staff hanging the Artwork may handle the Artwork.

Barbara Ziev of Gallery 526 Collective announces a unique art exhibit to benefit the American Cancer Society in October, 2021.  “It’s all in the interpretation” is open to Florida residents photographers and artists to apply through CAFE. About This Exhibit:

This event will be a stylistic representation of a creative work, both bearing the distinctive hallmark of each artist’s perspective. “A sight translation” discovering, determining and assigning meaning to what may be an obscure translation or version. A reframing and understanding of what appears to be the same by offering two different perspectives and interpretations. “Permission to see” wherever you are and what you choose to make of it – it’s all in the interpretation.

 “It’s all in the interpretation” will be uploaded to  CAFE  for a Call for photographers and artists.   

 

We are starting with the photographers, jurying these submissions to obtain about 50 + (16 x 20) photographs that will be matted and framed OR produced on metal, acrylic or wood panels for the exhibition.

 

Once we’ve selected our photographers and their images, we will review the artists submissions and select the artists to partner the photographers to share in the interpretation of the same photograph through art in various mediums including painting, collage, ink, pencil, charcoal, oil pastels, mono printing, encaustic, colored pencils or mixed media.

 

The categories for the initial photographic images will be: 
1. Florida Landscapes
2. Pop Art
3. Abstracts / Digital Art
4. Windows & Doors 
 

 

How it works:

 

Photographers can submit up to three submissions for $35.00 to be considered.

The selected photographic image, an interpretative piece will be reconstructed by an artist showing two versions of the same.

The artists will also submit three images of their work for a submission fee of $35.00.

These images should best show their capabilities in various mediums and styles of interdisciplinary work. 

Our jury will hand select the photographer and the artist to partner with one another. 

We are hoping to represent at least 50 partnerships, acquiring 100 works of art and photography in total to auction at the October 30th American Cancer Charity event at Gallery 526.  
 

ARTISTS:

Submit three images of your best work in a variety of mediums and styles to show your versatility.  You will be assigned a photographic partner with a selected image to produce in your choice of mediums. 

 

 

 

 

IMPORTANT DATES: 

Deadline for entry:   Midnight on August 13, 2021

Juried selection and notification: August 16, 2021

Selected photographer’s images should be emailed to Gallery 526 by: August 18, 2021

Photographic image will then be emailed to the Artist no later than August 20, 2021 giving the artist 41 days to produce the 16 x 20 work of art to be delivered ready to hang to Gallery 526 by September 30, 2021.

The 16 x 20, framed, metal, acrylic or wood panel finished photographs by the photographers must be ready to hang and delivered for installation to the gallery by September 30, 2021.

This is a juried exhibition. Each photographer will be partnered with a hand selected artist for this exhibition. Both will provide their own interpretation of the same image hand selected by our jury and provided by the photographer to Gallery 526 for distribution.

 

 

About Gallery 526 Collective

Gallery 526 Collective specializes in contemporary and classic fine art, three-dimensional media in sculpture, limited edition artworks, fine art photography, and hand-crafted jewelry and textiles. You’ll find works in acrylic, watercolor, oil, mixed media, pastel, wood, stone & metal, and many other mediums. “Live Art” demonstrations will engage guests providing a live view of the process of creating art. Workshops, lectures, and other interactive experiences will be planned for the near future making Gallery 526 a unique opportunity to enjoy and view art.

The Cornell Art Museum announces a Call To Artists and Artisans of 2D and 3D artworks for Indie Fest, which takes place on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19, 2021. Artists Of Palm Beach County Open Call To Artists For “Summer Dreams”. Open To Members And Non-Members For Exhibit In Northwood Village

The Artists of Palm Beach County is sharing a Call To Artists for their next exhibition, “Summer Dreams”.  This is open to members and non-members, offering a wonderful opportunity to have their art shown at ArtWorks Gallery in the historic, bohemian art district of Northwood in West Palm Beach.  The Call includes 2D and 3D works of all media.  The Opening Reception on Friday, June 25 coincides with Art Walk of Northwood. The submission Deadline is Monday, June 7.  The Rickie Report shares the details and urges all artists to apply!   In addition to the physical exhibit, a virtual exhibit will be available.

SUMMER DREAMS” is a call to members and non-members for an exhibit of original work of any subject, 2D and 3D welcomed in all media including ceramic, drawing, fiber/textile, glass, jewelry, mixed media, metal, oil, pastel, acrylic, photography, printmaking, watercolor, and wood. Please submit work which exemplifies the spirit or overall philosophy of your art and the summer season. No explicit sexual or political work accepted.

 

Submission Deadline: MONDAY, 6/7/21.
Notification to artists on or before Thursday, 6/10/21.
Hand delivery of artwork: Monday, 6/14/21 from 10am – 1pm.
Opening reception: Friday, 6/25/21, 5 – 8 PM. This will coincide with Art Walk of Northwood which is the last Friday of the month. 
Virtual Exhibit: TBD
Art Pickup: Friday 8/31/21, 10 am to 1 pm

 

SUBMISSION FEES: $25 for Members, $35 for non-members

Membership is $50/year

 

If you wish to join APBC or renew your membership if it has lapsed, please go to www.artistsofpalmbeachcounty.org and click on “Become a Member” BEFORE you enter the exhibit. Or send your membership fee in with your application.

Applications and fee payments are to be sent to: Artists of Palm Beach County, P.O. Box 32066, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33420.  We ask that you send in your application and payment in a timely fashion so that it arrives before the deadline!

Please use the APPLICATION ENTRY FORM. Once you have completed your application, email up to 3 jpg images of your work no larger than 3 MB each to artistsofpbc@gmail.com.

Make sure that your email includes your full name and phone number plus the title, medium, size (h x w) and price for each submitted work as you would like it to appear on an exhibition label. In the subject of your email put “SUMMER DREAMS – 2021.”

IMPORTANT: Members will receive 75% of the gross sale. Non-members will receive 65% of the gross sale.Please price your work accordingly. Juried by the Art on Park Gallery Management Committee

Terms:

1) No late entries accepted.
2) Original ideas only – no copying of works.
3) Please do not submit work that is not ready to hang.
4) No work that has been previously accepted in a APBC exhibit is eligible to be submitted again.  However, works that have not been accepted may be submitted.
5) Entry fees are not refundable.
6) The decision of the jurors is final.
7) Make sure the emailed jpg images match the names listed on the entry form.
8) We recommend that paper media be covered with Plexiglas or non-breakable material.
9) Unframed oils and acrylics must be finished on all sides – no staples showing.
10) No damaged frames or mats; mats must be clean.
11) All installation methods, such as wire attached to frames, must be secure. All 2D pieces MUST be wired on the back, no saw tooth hangers.
12) Due to limited space at Artworks Gallery no work larger than 36” wide x 36” high will be accepted, this measurement includes the frame.
13) All hanging works that are more than 20 pounds will not be eligible.
11) All entries must be labeled on the back of the work, base of sculpture, or somehow attached to artwork with artist name, title of work, medium, size, and price.
12) APBC, Inc. will do its best to safeguard against theft, loss, breakage, or other damage, but will not be financially responsible for reimbursement of lost or damaged work.
Note:  Do not show the frame or matting or glazing in the jpeg submitted for jurying. It is recommended that photos of you art work be taken before it is framed.

The Lake Worth Art League (LWAL) is proud to offer an opportunity to all artists!  You are invited to show, sell, and compete for awards in the final show of the season, “Art Insight”.  The exhibit will be held at the Artist’s Eye Gallery and Boutique in downtown Lake Worth Beach.

OPEN SHOW DETAILS:

The Lake Worth Art League offers cash prizes and ribbons for First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention award winners, and a Ribbon Recognition award.

Non-member entry fees are $35. for first entry, $25. for the second and $20. each for third, fourth and fifth pieces.

Bring your art to the gallery on Sunday, May 16th from Noon to 4 pm.

You will fill out your entry form at the gallery.

All 2-D art must be wired for hanging, no sawtooth hangers.

The only unframed works accepted are those that are finished/painted on all sides, such as gallery wrapped canvas.

All water soluble art and photographs must be framed and have glazing.

All 2D art must have a label affixed to the back in the upper right hand corner.

The label must contain the following information: name of the artist, title of art, medium, size, price and phone number.

Very large works may not be able to be accommodated. 

3D work will be accepted for counter display, and must be tag labeled or labeled under the base.

We regret we can not accept jewelry. 

We do not accept artwork that is political, religious, social justice themed, or art that contains profanity.

Nudes in good taste may be accepted at the discretion of the Board.

The Board of Directors has the right to reject any artwork it deems inappropriate.

The gallery retains 20% of all sales, and collects sales tax.

Cash or check only accepted for entry fees. Artwork must remain for the duration of the show. 

 

ABOUT USOur gallery is operated by the members of the Lake Worth Art League, the oldest non-profit art organization in Palm Beach County, founded in 1941. The league is comprised of very talented artists from emerging to professional, working in all disciplines. More good news… it is very inexpensive to join and show. First, become a member for just $75. per year. You then have the opportunity to show up to 5 pieces of work in each of our 8 judged “season” shows and our remaining off season shows. Each season show is judged by a qualified judge that is not affiliated with the League. Member artists may also place small original items, jewelry, greeting cards, and prints/giclees in our boutique for sale.
