St. Lucie Arts Alliance Shares Call For Youth Art K-12 And College Students In St. Lucie County. Deadline Is August 2, 2020

The St. Lucie Arts Alliance announces a Call For Youth Art, including grades K-12 and College students!  There is no fee to enter “Young Hearts To Arts” which will include a virtual gallery as well as a county-wide exhibition tour at local venues! Are you a local K-12 or college student? Enter to win in our “Young Hearts to Arts” campaign! Put your creativity to work to inspire our community to show their love and empathy.

This will be a two-part campaign:


A contest, which will take place online (website and social media) a county-wide exhibition tour at local venues

Participants are to illustrate love, friendship, community, or compassion in their masterpieces. Submissions will be entered into four categories:

Elementary school, Middle school, High school, College

Submitted artwork will be voted for by the general public. Each category will have a 1st place and 2nd place winners. Don’t miss this opportunity to be innovative, get your work showcased in public and win amazing prizes!

Contest guidelines:

  1. Participants must be local K-12 or college students
  2. Submitted art must be original work of the participant
  3. Artwork should not contain a demonstration of violence
  4. Submission must not depict hatred towards a person/ group
  5. Submissions will be accepted online (arrangements may be made for in-person submissions)
  6. Each participant may submit a short video, a maximum of 5 minutes, detailing the inspiration behind the submitted artwork. (optional)
  7. The submission deadline is Sunday, August 2, 2020.
  8. Participants who fail to abide by these rules will be disqualified

*By participating in this campaign, participants and/or parents give St. Lucie Cultural Alliance authorization to make copies of and share/distribute submitted artwork on all digital and printed formats.

Artists Eye Gallery & Boutique Announces Open Call To All Artists For “Texture” Exhibit

The Artists Eye Gallery & Boutique invites you to their 6th judged show of the season and shares a Call All Artists to participate in this Open Show! You’ll see a diverse selection of art from all genres and created in many different mediums adorning the walls of this beautiful gallery in downtown Lake Worth. Browse the Boutique, filled with hand-crafted items made by our artists such as fashion jewelry, glass items, home decor as well as giclees, art prints and greeting cards. We are proud to offer an unprecedented equal opportunity for all artists! We are unique in the fact that we accept the work of ALL artists, from emerging to professional, to show, sell and compete for awards in our Artist’s Eye Gallery and Boutique in downtown Lake Worth.

Our gallery is owned and operated by the Lake Worth Art League, the oldest non-profit art organization in Palm Beach County, founded in 1941. The league is comprised of very talented artists from all disciplines. More good news… it is very inexpensive to join and show. First, become a member for just $75. per year. You then have the opportunity to show up to 5 pieces of work in each one of our 8 judged “season” shows. Each show is judged by a qualified judge that is not affiliated with the league. The league offers cash prizes and ribbons for first, second, third, and honorable mention award winners, and a ribbon Recognition award. Entry fee for each show is $25. for first entry and $15. For the second. $10. For each each additional piece up to 5 total. Summer exhibitions continue with reduced prices for entry. The league retains 20% of all sales, which along with membership, entry fees and our volunteers, helps keep the gallery open and your work visible to the public. A reception with light refreshment is held for each show. All shows are advertised. Membership offers also offers the opportunity to sell your work in our Boutique.

Art Synergy Biblio2020/Art Palm Beach Opens International And National Call For Artists. “Biblio2020” January 31 – February 3, 2020 At Palm Beach County Convention Center

Art Synergy invites national and international artists to apply to the Call for Artists for Art Synergy Biblio2020 at Art Palm Beach.  Breaking boundaries over the past 6 years, this Art Synergy is now open to all artists!  John Cutrone, Director of the Jaffe Center for Book Arts at Florida Atlantic University Libraries, and partner in Lake Worth’s Convivio Bookworks, will jury the exhibit for these categories: 2D, 3D, Video/Film, Installation Art and Performance Art.  The Deadline is December 27!  The Rickie Report shares the details and urges ART LOVERS to MARK your CALENDARS:  January 21 – February 3, 2020. As the art world sets its sights on South Florida, Next Level Fairs is reshaping the art fair concept for the 23rd edition of ArtPalmBeach to connect exhibitors and collectors in dynamic new ways.





The trendsetting founders of major fairs Art Miami and Art Asia Hong Kong since 1990 are once again breaking ground with a multifaceted redesign to make spaces as creative as the artwork on view.



Art Synergy is inviting national and international artists to apply to the call for artists for Art Synergy Biblio2020 at Art Palm Beach.  This will be our 7th year at this unique event and we are proud to once again be a part of it. This is the first year that the call is open internationally.






Notification Date:  January 10, 2020



The images submitted must fully reflect the work to be exhibited in the booth. An artist who works in more than one medium category, must submit an application in each category. If one application is accepted, only work in that category may be exhibited.

**All submitted 2D or hanging works must be wired and ready for hanging, loose flat work not framed (I.e. prints, photographs, etc.) will not be acceptable entries.





Each applicant may submit (1) one image of the work to be shown for consideration by the jury.

3-D art may submit 2 images (main image and detail or second view image).

A maximum of 3 artworks may be submitted in one application.

File format: JPEG only.

Jurors’ selections are based on the level of technical skill, quality of workmanship, and originality of design as represented in the images submitted.




Art Synergy/Art Palm Beach Exhibition is open to all professional artists. All work to be exhibited must be well conceived, expertly executed, and arrive ready to hang.

If you need a pedestal or monitor YOU MUST PROVIDE IT.

All work should reflect the individuality of the artist.

Giclee reproductions of paintings will not be accepted.

Juror, John Cutrone:

John Cutrone is Director of the Jaffe Center for Book Arts at Florida Atlantic University Libraries, as well as a partner in Lake Worth’s Convivio Bookworks, a book arts studio specializing in limited edition letterpress printed books and broadsides. He is the author of the Convivio Book of Days blog, which explores the quirkier side of seasonal traditions, encouraging us to live the ceremony of each day.

A non-profit organization, was fortunate to have caught the eye of the Lesters and through their auspices, the organization has received a booth at the Art Palm Beach for the past 5 years, with 2019 being the sixth Art Synergy Exhibition once again looking forward to a great exhibition.

Art Synergy has grown considerably since its inception and our volunteer staff and support has grown along with it.  The organization, run by Rolando Chang Barrero and Ilene Gruber Adams, artists and advocates, holds several meetings yearly, open to the public, where we request help from the community to work with us in everything from planning, to finance hanging the shows.  We look forward to another successful year and cannot thank the Lesters enough for the support they have shown us.

Fort Pierce Art Club Shares Call For Artists, “In Her Image”, Focusing On Women & Women’s Issues. Exhibit Takes Place At Elliott Museum December 12 – March 15

The Ft. Pierce Art Club (formerly Treasure Coast Art Association) shares a Call to Artists for “In Her Image”, a Juried Exhibition focusing on Women and Women’s Issues.  The exhibit takes place at the Elliott Museum in conjunction with the “Magnificent Me” exhibition.  Artists will create their own artwork on a mannequin provided by the Art Club.  The Public is invited to the exhibit December 12 – March 15.  The Rickie Report shares the details and urges artists to apply!  The deadline is December 7. *Membership in the club is not a requirement for this show.

Andy Rouse

Andy Rouse is an internationally known multi award winning wildlife photographer. He is the current holder of the Gerald Durrell award for Endangered Species and has just published a beautiful new book on mountain gorillas.





Tammi Hanawalt PhD


Tammi Hanawalt PhD. is currently the Associate Curator of Art at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, WY. She received her BA in Theatre design and her MA in art history from Arizona State University. Tammi has designed in professional theatre, taught theatrical design and production, as well art history. She recently completed her doctoral degree in Native American art history at the University of Oklahoma and continues to teach art history online at the Institute of American Indian Arts, in Santa Fe, NM. Through her research, concerned with issues involving contemporary Native American art and wildlife conservation, Tammi endeavors to contribute to the framework of ongoing interdisciplinary humanities scholarship. She has presented papers at regional, national, and international conferences and contributes to local and national publications. As a curator, Tammi works toward expanding ideas of wildlife art, and in turn, its effect on humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
