The Annual South Florida Fair includes an Art Village, offering fine arts and crafts plus artist demonstrations to its visitors. The Fair is the main event on the Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach, FL which occurs over a 17 day period. The Fair’s theme is Rocking Robots!  More than half a million visitors will attend from January 14 – 30, 2022. This is a great opportunity to get exposure and to sell your art to the many Fair visitors. Call includes all mediums and chalk drawing. The Deadline to apply is December 1, 2021.

The South Florida Fair, Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest event, is open Monday-Thursday, 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Martin Luther King Day, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Artists’ works will be showcased in Building #2   “Artist Alley” on the Main Concourse.

   

The Vision:  The exhibition shares the Fair’s vision of cultural expansion, while showcasing artists’ talents.  Artists are invited to be on-site during the Fair at scheduled times to interact with Fair guests.

 

 

Exhibit area specifics: The interior wooden walls are eight feet high, providing a nice backdrop to showcase your framed art. The air-conditioned facility also features small windows near the ceiling; overhead and accent lighting is available.     

 

 

Timetable:  All artwork must be brought to the Fairgrounds between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday– Monday, January 3,4  and must remain on location until the Fair’s closing on January 30.  Artwork can be picked up between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, January 31. 

 

 

FAQ: 

• Sales: Selling your Artwork is permissible at the end of the Fair.

• Security: The Fair has 24-hour security with a designated guard assigned to this area during operational hours.  

• Insurance: Please make sure your artwork is covered under your policy. 

• Handling of the Art: Only the artist and staff hanging the Artwork may handle the Artwork.

The Artists of Palm Beach County is sharing a Call To Artists for their next exhibition, “Summer Dreams”.  This is open to members and non-members, offering a wonderful opportunity to have their art shown at ArtWorks Gallery in the historic, bohemian art district of Northwood in West Palm Beach.  The Call includes 2D and 3D works of all media.  The Opening Reception on Friday, June 25 coincides with Art Walk of Northwood. “SUMMER DREAMS” is a call to members and non-members for an exhibit of original work of any subject, 2D and 3D welcomed in all media including ceramic, drawing, fiber/textile, glass, jewelry, mixed media, metal, oil, pastel, acrylic, photography, printmaking, watercolor, and wood. Please submit work which exemplifies the spirit or overall philosophy of your art and the summer season. No explicit sexual or political work accepted.

Hand delivery of artwork: Monday, 6/14/21 from 10am – 1pm.

Terms:

1) No late entries accepted.
2) Original ideas only – no copying of works.
3) Please do not submit work that is not ready to hang.
4) No work that has been previously accepted in a APBC exhibit is eligible to be submitted again.  However, works that have not been accepted may be submitted.
5) Entry fees are not refundable.
6) The decision of the jurors is final.
7) Make sure the emailed jpg images match the names listed on the entry form.
8) We recommend that paper media be covered with Plexiglas or non-breakable material.
9) Unframed oils and acrylics must be finished on all sides – no staples showing.
10) No damaged frames or mats; mats must be clean.
11) All installation methods, such as wire attached to frames, must be secure. All 2D pieces MUST be wired on the back, no saw tooth hangers.
12) Due to limited space at Artworks Gallery no work larger than 36” wide x 36” high will be accepted, this measurement includes the frame.
13) All hanging works that are more than 20 pounds will not be eligible.
11) All entries must be labeled on the back of the work, base of sculpture, or somehow attached to artwork with artist name, title of work, medium, size, and price.
12) APBC, Inc. will do its best to safeguard against theft, loss, breakage, or other damage, but will not be financially responsible for reimbursement of lost or damaged work.
Note:  Do not show the frame or matting or glazing in the jpeg submitted for jurying. It is recommended that photos of you art work be taken before it is framed.

The bi-annual event highlights the best of the local Palm Beach County arts and entertainment scene. A non-profit organization, was fortunate to have caught the eye of the Lesters and through their auspices, the organization has received a booth at the Art Palm Beach for the past 5 years, with 2019 being the sixth Art Synergy Exhibition once again looking forward to a great exhibition.

Art Synergy has grown considerably since its inception and our volunteer staff and support has grown along with it.  The organization, run by Rolando Chang Barrero and Ilene Gruber Adams, artists and advocates, holds several meetings yearly, open to the public, where we request help from the community to work with us in everything from planning, to finance hanging the shows.  We look forward to another successful year and cannot thank the Lesters enough for the support they have shown us.

The trendsetting founders of major fairs Art Miami and Art Asia Hong Kong since 1990 are once again breaking ground with a multifaceted redesign to make spaces as creative as the artwork on view.

 

 

Art Synergy is inviting national and international artists to apply to the call for artists for Art Synergy Biblio2020 at Art Palm Beach.  This will be our 7th year at this unique event and we are proud to once again be a part of it. This is the first year that the call is open internationally.

 

 

 

 

 

Notification Date:  January 10, 2020

 

ENTRY RULES:

The images submitted must fully reflect the work to be exhibited in the booth. An artist who works in more than one medium category, must submit an application in each category. If one application is accepted, only work in that category may be exhibited.

**All submitted 2D or hanging works must be wired and ready for hanging, loose flat work not framed (I.e. prints, photographs, etc.) will not be acceptable entries.

 

 

 

IMAGES:

Each applicant may submit (1) one image of the work to be shown for consideration by the jury.

3-D art may submit 2 images (main image and detail or second view image).

A maximum of 3 artworks may be submitted in one application.

File format: JPEG only.

Images must comply with those required by Juried Art Services

If you are applying in Video or Performance Art you must include still images in your application and forward actual videos to ArtSyneryPBC@gmail.com.

If your work is accepted, we request you volunteer in the booth for at least 4 hours during the shows’ days. (Applies to local artists only)

 

 

JURY DECISIONS:

Jurors’ selections are based on the level of technical skill, quality of workmanship, and originality of design as represented in the images submitted.

 

 

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

Art Synergy/Art Palm Beach Exhibition is open to all professional artists. All work to be exhibited must be well conceived, expertly executed, and arrive ready to hang.

If you need a pedestal or monitor YOU MUST PROVIDE IT.

All work should reflect the individuality of the artist.

Giclee reproductions of paintings will not be accepted.

Juror, John Cutrone:

John Cutrone is Director of the Jaffe Center for Book Arts at Florida Atlantic University Libraries, as well as a partner in Lake Worth’s Convivio Bookworks, a book arts studio specializing in limited edition letterpress printed books and broadsides. He is the author of the Convivio Book of Days blog, which explores the quirkier side of seasonal traditions, encouraging us to live the ceremony of each day.

Art Synergy:

A non-profit organization, was fortunate to have caught the eye of the Lesters and through their auspices, the organization has received a booth at the Art Palm Beach for the past 5 years, with 2019 being the sixth Art Synergy Exhibition once again looking forward to a great exhibition.

Art Synergy has grown considerably since its inception and our volunteer staff and support has grown along with it.  The organization, run by Rolando Chang Barrero and Ilene Gruber Adams, artists and advocates, holds several meetings yearly, open to the public, where we request help from the community to work with us in everything from planning, to finance hanging the shows.  We look forward to another successful year and cannot thank the Lesters enough for the support they have shown us.

The TikiMarket at the Marina in Riviera Beach, FL is starting season in a BIG WAY on Sunday, October 20!  TikiMarket has partnered with local organizations and will benefit the hurricane victims through a collection of needed relief items and a raffle. Artists will exhibit and sell their creations. This event is well publicized by local media reporting, media sponsorships, advertising, and social media. Scheduled at the perfect time for holiday shopping, vendors will reach affluent Palm Beach and Broward County residents, and engage our large seasonal tourist population.

 

 

The campus hosts space for 95 10’x10’ tents throughout the Armory’s campus. Tents will be located outdoors in the campus sculpture garden and parking lot.  The Armory Art Center is on the south end of Howard Park within walking distance of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, the Palm Beach Convention Center, Hilton West Palm Beach, and Rosemary Square—a premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.

 

 

Artists will have the opportunity to interact with the public through art demos and booth chats. Live music, food, and activities for kids make the festival a perfect experience for all.

 

 

Set up is on Friday, December 6, 2019. Artists parking will be available.

• Submit three jpegs of the artwork you plan to sell and a picture of your booth display along with your application.

• Application deadline is August 23, 2019.

• There is a $35 artist application fee

• Booths are 10’x10’ for $200 each.

 

 

Tent Requirements: Tents must be 10’x10’ and made to withstand wind and rain. The tent color must be white to remain consistent with event standards. Recommended brands are Light Done, Show Off, and Flourish. There is a minimum of 50 lbs. of weight per corner required to meet quality standards.
