The Boca Raton Pen Women are delighted to announce three recipients of the Dori Popenoe Art Achievement Award. Kelsey Fox received the first place award. Britta Martinez de la Flor earned the second place award, and Liana Plunkett was awarded third place. These three native-born Floridians have been studying art and honing their skills at Palm Beach Atlantic College. They have demonstrated outstanding talent and achievement.
The Dori Popenoe Art Achievement Award was established by Pete Popenoe in memory of his wife Dori, who was an accomplished portrait artist and beloved member of the Boca Raton Branch of the NLAPW. Dori Popenoe was a past president of the Boca Raton Branch, NLAPW and a Pen Woman of the Year honoree from the Florida State Association.
This year we are celebrating the achievements of these three young talented artists and wishing them success in their career journey. We are also remembering Dori Popenoe, a friend, a colleague, and a woman for whom art held a special place. Join the Boca Raton NLAPW Women for a delicious luncheon and an award celebration.
