Discover and expand your creative side with classes and workshops at Old School Square’s Creative Arts School!  Adults and kids at all skill levels are discovering and expanding their creative side with art classes in drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, jewelry making, printmaking and paper clay. Fine art photography and digital imaging classes are available for beginner through master level. This class will revitalize your photography practice by exploring your relationship to your subject, your camera, and yourself. Through photo exercises, assignments, and field trips, we will learn to deepen our visual awareness while clarifying our approach, so that image making becomes both more personal and meaningful. Bring a sense of commitment (and sense of humor) and curiosity to class, as well as a few examples of recent work to the first session.

Old School Square:

Old School Square is the center of arts & entertainment in downtown Delray Beach. Celebrating 25 years as the community’s gathering place, the historic campus includes the intimate Crest Theatre (in the restored 1925 Delray High School building) the Cornell Art Museum (in the 1913 Delray Elementary building), and the Fieldhouse (formerly known as the Vintage Gymnasium, c. 1925). The Pavilion, which opened in 2002, hosts outdoor concerts and festivals. The Creative Arts School (located on the second floor of the Crest Theatre) offers art, photography, writing and performance classes. Old School Square also serves as a venue for community, corporate, private and media events. Boca Raton Museum Art School Partners With Plein Air Painters Of Palm Beach County Plus New Short Courses And Free 2nd Annual BOCA PHOTO

The Boca Raton Museum Art School is partnering with the Plein Air Painters of Palm Beach County to paint portraits of houses and views of the streets of Old Floresta. The outdoor painters will be painting in the neighborhood on two Thursdays per month from September to December.  The culminating event will be a juried exhibit of the painting in gallery of the Boca Museum Art School in March, 2016. The Boca Raton Museum Art School is partnering with the Plein Air Painters of Palm Beach County to paint portraits of houses and views of the streets of Old Floresta.

 

Old Floresta is the Mizner designed neighborhood behind the Art School. There are twenty-nine original 1920’s homes along the picturesque tree-lined streets of Old Floresta.

 

The outdoor painters will be painting in the neighborhood on two Thursdays per month from September to December.  The culminating event will be a juried exhibit of the painting in gallery of the Boca Museum Art School in March, 2016.

Redefine the concept of a “book” when you create unique 3 dimensional works of art using various formats for traditional and sculptural book forms.
