Palm Beach Watercolor Society Features Pat Weaver’s Watercolor Demonstration In December And More Workshops to Come in 2017

The Palm Beach Watercolor Society welcomes everyone to their next meeting on Thursday evening, December 8th as Pat Weaver demonstrates her watercolor techniques, following her PBWS workshop on Dec. 6th, 7th and 8th.  These monthly meetings start off with door and raffle prizes, refreshments, an opportunity to network and to socialize while enjoying the art.  The Rickie Report shares the details about this meeting as well as upcoming Workshops, which are open to non-members.  This is another artist networking organization, where artists can meet each other and art patrons can get to know the artists!

!VA! , A Communal Exhibition Of Altars Celebrate Day Of Dead At Armory Annex

The Day of the Dead is a holiday in Latino culture that focuses on gatherings of family and friends to create altars or ofrendas to pray for and celebrate the spiritual journey of friends and family members who have died.  The Armory Annex welcomes the public to experience the treasures and traditions of the Day of the Dead in the exhibition ¡Va!–a communal exhibition of altars created by families, artists, and organizations in Lake Worth.  The Public Opening Reception on Saturday, November 5th, is in conjunction with the Day of the Dead Festival. This is a free, family-friendly cultural event which will highlight the different cultural aspects of the Day of the Dead holiday with music, dance performances, and ethnic cuisine.  The Exhibit is available from November 5 – 25, 2016.
