“Off The Hook” Steam Punk creation with recycled materials by Janet Bird Fuller

Janet Bird Fuller is a 3D, steam punk & industrial assemblage artist who creates all of her work from found objects  and reclaimed material (often found in curbside trash).  Her specialty is STEAMPUNK, a form of Victorian science fiction and fantasy that speculates, “What would the past look like if the future had happened sooner?”  It involves contraptions constructed from lots of gears, gadgets and gizmos.

Lora Yakimov

Sculpture by Lora Yakimov

Lora Yakimov casts and welds pewter sea life into 3-D freestanding and wall sculptures. The transparency of her unique fossil figures symbolize the twin truths of outer decay and simultaneous inner renewal. “…for the things which are seen are temporal, but the unseen is eternal”

“Balloons in Water” by Lori Yakimov

Lora Yakimov uses the symbolism of playful balloons as a metaphor for life (fragile transparent spheres filled with breath, water, light and color)

ONLY CALL Cool Beans Brew Coffee House for coffee and/or lunch orders!

The proceeds from the flamingo sale will go towards FPAC Art Education Scholarships to be awarded on January 9, 2021 at the Club’s 65th Anniversary party.  The club’s party will be held outside under the oaks from 9:00 am to noon at Cool Beans Brew coffee house.  Scholarships applications for high school and college students to complete will be available at www.fortpierceartclub.org at the end of November 2020.  Winners will be posted on the club’s website above.

The Fort Pierce Art Club this year has raised $400 for the “Inner Truth Project” and $500 from the July “Filthy Mug” silent auction to aid the Fort Pierce Women’s Club, who provide food for families on Mondays and Fridays.  During March and April, the club distributed wooden birdhouses, paint, and brushes for families to embellish.  The “Bird House” art was then displayed at Cool Beans Brew Coffee House.  Currently, the club is sponsoring “Art on the Porch”, a free painting session including all supplies, every Monday morning at Cool Beans Brew Coffee House. In addition, several club members are painting bike racks for the city of Fort Pierce.

The Fabulous Flamingos event will be sponsored by Cool Beans Brew Coffee House and The Fort Pierce Art Club, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting artists and the arts through community awareness.

Bryan Jackson

From Zack Jones:

When I first met Bryan, I knew he understood the local music scene and the music industry but he didn’t just like music; he was music. Bryan Jackson was my friend. He was a friend to all of us. He was sincere, kind, funny and always made the best of the bad times. Sadly, Bryan was tragically killed by a drunk driver coming home from a gig with his fellow band mates and friends of the band, Ghost Cat.

After his death, I, along with the remaining members of Ghost Cat wanted to create an event to celebrate Bryan’s life and what he loved most: music. And so, the Bryan Jackson Music Festival was born. This festival is an all-day, all ages event built around unsigned local musicians and bands from near and far. In an industry that has become so tough to get ahead in, this festival brings friends and family of Bryan, hardworking bands, music lovers and supporters of all ages together for a cause.

The Bryan Jackson Music Festival: Episode II will be held on Saturday, January 9th 2016 at Harbour Pointe Park located on the Indian River in Fort Pierce, Florida from 11:00 a.m.until Midnight. The event will benefit Learn to Read of St. Lucie County. The day will be packed with 35 Musicians and Bands of all genres across 3 stages, with an assortment of Craft and Art Vendors, Food Trucks, a Skate Ramp and activities for the children such as a bounce house, big jump and a giant art mural.

3,000 attendees and participants came out to support this event in its inaugural year in 2015 so on behalf of Bryan’s parents, his brother, his band, and the local music scene of the Treasure Coast, we invite you to participate in the Bryan Jackson Music Festival: Episode II. We have included Sponsorship and Vendor Opportunities for you to consider. Please contact Candace Callahan for more sponsor and vendor information.
