She often uses natural fiber with wax to create interesting textures and surfaces.  “I love to use texture in my work as to me it lends gravity, anchoring into a dimension that is real, placing it in this world while simultaneously being in the realm of fantasy, which is my own form of magical realism. Also the textures I use, mirror the structures I see in nature, which have always been the source of inspiration at the core of my creativity”.

WASNicoleGalluccioInternal_Grey_Reboot

“Grey Reboot” by Nicole Gallucio

“Inspiration for my mixed media floral pieces is predominantly from an impetus to utilize color theory as an emotional catalyst; to calm, to evoke joy, to be a visual antidepressant. Imagery inspired from nature as well as from vintage fabrics, 60’s mod fashion and style, comic and street art spun into heavily exaggerated boldly colorful illustrative works”.

“Early on in my quest to determine my path in the art world, I needed to find better ways to hone my personal style and create depth and contrast to my more flat illustrative works. During my art education experience, I dabbled in using different media including paper and adding texture to my work this way. As time went on, I wanted to utilize the definitive contrast of a black and white background against the vibrant colors used in my paintings. I have always been fascinated with the outrageous headlines in tabloid magazines and felt what better use of the exploitation of celebrity, Americas obsession with it, and contrast it against something beautiful in nature vs. something garish and absurd yet commonplace in our culture; Something beautiful, vibrant and inviting vs. something somewhat dark and absurd at times, which we are drawn to as a culture. Along the way, I started including headlines and wording that struck me in positive ways or exemplified the experience and my emotions as related to that experience. This continues to change and reflect the times of my life and influences upon me within different series”.

“I continue to experiment with the black and white paper collage against the bright colored paintings within my work as a means to convey the emotion. I feel I have solidified this technique, and in the manner used, as signature to my work and recognizable as mine. How I incorporate this may change in the future as I gravitate toward new series with different life experiences. I am expanding my use of imagery from other sources, including old children books, wallpapers, vintage Life Magazines, and anything that intrigues me as I will always find a way to incorporate it within a piece befitting”.

“My artwork is about feelings and emotions. Although I paint and draw many subjects: people, landscapes, architecture, still life, and abstract – I try to evoke a feeling or a memory of an emotion through color and form. A painting becomes a journey of perspective and tension as you travel down the visual pathways I create. Details emerge, and forms and shadows coalesce into the place where imagination lives. That’s what I try to make. I am a resident artist @ Boynton Beach Art District, and former Owner of Village Studio Gallery of Delray Beach. Available for showings and studio tours by appointment”.

“Dilapidated” by Emmanuel Gonzales

Emmanuel Gonzales has had a strong presence in the in the south Florida art scene since his graduation from Palm Beach Atlantic College in 2001. He has a bold and edgy style fusing together collage, pencil, pastel and oils to create strong imagery that consistently makes a statement. His work has been seen in various juried shows and galleries in Palm Beach County and Orlando. Most recently he has displayed at the Voight Gallery on Palm Beach Island, OSGS Gallery in Northwood, and currently has opened his own working studio gallery in West Palm Beach appropriately called “Above Ground.”

The pop-up show “Continuum” in downtown West Palm Beach displayed a variety of his paintings during Art Palm Beach in 2014. Emmanuel Also participated in Orlando’s “Rock the Box” where he was selected to paint a newspaper box for the Orlando weekly. “Art Synergy” a subdivision of Art Synergy selected one of Emmanuel’s works to be displayed during the prestigious art exhibit. Most recently, Emmanuel was honored by being commissioned to paint Florida State Senator Marco Rubio’s portrait to grace his Washington office.

“Tree Of knowledge Seduces Peacock” by Luis Vale

“My work reflects my obsession and influence with the ancient past, spirituality, the super-natural and the divine. I am a local artist originally from Managua, Nicaragua. Being displaced from my homeland at a young age has caused me to reflect on my native cultures’ heritage and history. Some influences come from the actual region while others have been absorbed by other indigenous cultures and world traditions. Borrowing elements from surrealism, aboriginal, pre-Colombian and shamanistic indigenous societies I paint images conveying the world as moving fluid energy. My work is a contemporary approach of creating images to touch the soul. I am a strong believer that spirituality has been lost in the mix of commercialism, trends and fashion in art”.

“My goal is to make art that not only looks good to the eye and fits your home but also touches a part of you where words just can’t describe. I work in various mediums from canvases, largescale murals, the female body and video. Through the various mediums the act of creation is a process where I attempt to transmit my images through divine inspiration. Angelic spirit guides, power animals, nature and the subconscious mind are all aspects that can be found in my work. Recently my focus has been painting large-scale murals where the community and passerby’s can appreciate what I do. I have found that creating art in the streets gives me a certain satisfaction that the galleries and institutions can’t provide. The effect that my work has on others is greatly magnified when it is put out in the open for the world to see”.

Lilyana Eisele tells The Rickie Report, “We are founding a Fashion District to create jobs, improve our communities and increase education. The proceeds from this fundraiser are part of these ongoing efforts. The fashion and apparel industry is a $3,000 trillion industry worldwide and the U.S. imports 97% of its fashion and apparel for retail. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics,  98 other occupations depend on the Fashion & Apparel industry for employment. Small changes can have a huge impact”.

From Thursday November 5th through Sunday the 8th runway shows will start at 6pm and conclude at approximately 9pm. Fashions debuted on the runway will be the upcoming trends in the Palm Beaches for 2016 in swimwear, resort wear, and accessories.

Even show producer, Lilyana Eisele, was interviewed and published in Everybody Magazine. When it comes to bringing fashion to Palm Beach she was hailed by the magazine editor as “the matriarch of it all.” The article further cites the Palm Beaches as one of the most beautiful and fashionable places on Earth.

Lilyana tells us, “Some designers have more than doubled their business size and expanded production by 150%. Many of the designers are Florida based and also produce their lines in Florida. In addition, the materials to create the line are often bought from Florida businesses. This supports other businesses and also creates jobs which support our communities”.

Over 100 fashion designers have applied to be in the shows and many have specifically designed their clothing line to be featured in the style and spirit of the Palm Beaches. Last year Fusion Fashion & Art produced the largest fashion week in the state of Florida under one roof.
