Paul Fisher established his eponymously named gallery in 1990 with his purchase of the Flamingo Building, a 7500sf historic building located near the Norton Museum in the heart of West Palm Beach.  For most of 1990’s Fisher travelled the globe with his friend and mentor Dale Chihuly selling his work and consulting on major projects. Paul was also a protégé of the great Henry Geldzahler and in the early 90’s traveled with him internationally as a Cultural Attaché for the U.S. Information Agency. Upon meeting and marrying his artist wife Irina in 2001, he set down roots and began regular exhibitions. The gallery is known for showing a balance of 20th Century masters and young and emerging talent. Fisher also operates exhibition spaces at the celebrated Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach and in Wynwood Miami at the Ogetti Building. He exhibits at major art fairs as well.

Handmade Exotic Wood Cutting Board by Robert Hunter

A “father” is more than the biological paternal source of our being. He is a person who cares and provides for us. He is a person who helps to set the standards, the family values and the example. So, add to this group, step fathers and other men who willingly and eagerly accept and cherish the role.  Whether biological, adopted or informally, if they are the father figure to you, give him some recognition today and don’t hesitate to call him “Dad”.

A day to honor Dad? NO. Rather, it is a day to enjoy time with Dad and appreciate all he does for you. What Dad really wants is healthy, happy and successful kids. And, he wants you to spend a few moments with him on Father’s Day. Today’s life style is busy for both dads and kids. A little time with Dad on Father’s Day could be what he wants….So check out our selection of exquisite art handcrafted ART by local artists. Juror’s Statement: March 3, 2017

Sir Alec Issigonis is said to have defined a camel as a horse, designed by committee. Exhibition curators assemble bodies of work, while juried shows are selected from bodies of work the juror did not assemble. The challenge then is to find some kind of hypothetical logic that would allow the juror to create a selection that might have been curated.

In today’s world, polemics of style or taxonomies of media have passed their sell-by date. In the digital age, objects created to engage the viewer and stimulate a response find sudden unity in sharing the distinction of physicality. The question becomes not just one of craft, or even of originality, but how thoughtfully the artwork manifests a sense of purpose, generates an encounter, and delivers an experience. My selection focused on works engaged less in exposition, and more in exploring processes associated with close scrutiny, travel, gender, identity, crisis, sexuality, and mass-media. It was a pleasure to spend time with all of the entries, and equally difficult to narrow the selection from fifty to fifteen—the limit set for accepted entries. My hope is these selections will benefit from their dialogue.

“Our international art fairs are successful because we are committed to becoming part of the community’s arts scene as we continue to do with Art Palm Beach and as we did as founders of Art Miami. By partnering with local institutions and organizations to create Art Boca Raton Art Week, and involving community leaders and residents we create a unique sense of ownership by all who know how beneficial art and culture are to the city they live and work in, says Lee Ann Lester. “Working closely with Florida Atlantic University, the Research Park, the Boca Raton Museum of Art and Art School and the Mayor’s office and Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, we have created programming and events with wide appeal,” continues Lester.
