Trish Stephens tells The Rickie Report, “The Casuarina tree’s seeds were first brought to Florida in 1898 from France. Later seeds came from Ceylon, Manila and Hawaii.  Today, the Casuarina tree, known as the Australian Pine, is so prevalent in Lantana, our founding members thought it fitting to give the name to our Woman’s Club.  The species is so firmly a part of Florida that we forget that it is, like most of us, from elsewhere. Diversity is our strength and the Casuarina reminds us that as people in our communities we come from many different places and various backgrounds. However, like the branches of the tree, we can make the difference when serving a common cause”.

Can you tell she’s from New England?

She’s the proud mom of 2 beautiful daughters, loves all her animals (2 horses, 6 dogs, 3 cats, an annoying cow named Karma, 2 snakes, 2 bearded dragons and a couple of killer goldfish) and would marry George Clooney in a heartbeat.

Jennifer loves to cook and eat Italian food, anything seafood, especially Maine lobster, enjoys horseback riding, gardening and reading. Jennifer sits on the board for LEAF (Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation) a charity that provides financial support to Palm Beach County police officers injured or killed in the line of duty. She has been involved with the March Of Dimes since 1981.
