Boca Raton Museum Art School is busy this summer for children, teenagers, and adults!  Weekly summer day camp starts June 4 to August 10, 2018.  Summer Camp at the Boca Raton Museum Art School is so much fun kids don’t know they’re learning! At the end of the summer all children and their families are invited to a special reception for the “Youth Summer Art Camp Exhibit” at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Mizner Park to celebrate each child’s first museum showing!  The Rickie Report shares the details about this and what exhibits the Boca Museum is offering. CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex Invites Public To 2D and 3D Art Exhibit With One Of A Kind Creations On April 13th

Stop by the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex in Lake Worth on Friday, April 13, 2018  for an exhibition that is one of a kind. VSA Palm Beach County will host a Spring Exhibition with Featured Teacher/Artists: Connie Abbott, Walford Campbell, Sarah Gualtieri, Linda Manganaro, Catherine Rich, Sam Perry, Tracy Rosof- Petersen, Penny Sangregorio, and Betty Wilson. Art Synergy/Art Boca Features Contemporary Artists From Broward, Martin, Palm Beach And St. Lucie Counties In International Exhibit

Art Synergy/Art Boca Raton will showcase artists from Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties for Art Forms at Art Boca Raton. This will be the third year for this unique event. Art Boca Raton Contemporary Art Fair, March 14-18, 2018 will be held in the International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches in cooperation with Florida Atlantic University. Showcasing contemporary, modern and emerging art, sculpture, photography, works on paper and installations, the fair will offer a broad range of art to both beginning and seasoned collectors. Art Synergy invited artists from Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties to apply to the call for artists for Art Forms at Art Boca Raton. This will be the third year for this unique event and we are proud to once again to be invited by the Lester’s to exhibit.

Art Boca Raton Contemporary Art Fair, March 14-18, 2018 to be held in the International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches in cooperation with Florida Atlantic University. The International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches will include a 65,000 sq. ft. /6100 sq. meter exhibition hall, a full-service restaurant, sculpture garden and lecture hall facility. Ample parking and valet service will be available to fair attendees.

Over 125 submissions were received including both 2D and 3D art. The juror, Noor Blazekovic, is a well-known arts advocate and founder of Irreversible Magazine and Projects, developing an extensive international platform for nontraditional exhibitions and cultural exchanges. Blazekovic is a respected art curator and project developer within the South Florida art community and beyond, her projects have taken her worldwide where she has mentored numerous emerging and mid-career artists, helping them to develop their careers and strengthen their work while building a collector base and following. Blazekovic has received numerous awards within the industry for her leadership role and continued developments within the local community.  The work submitted by all of the artists was most impressive, but due to limited space, only a small selection of artist were able to be selected.  All of their work can be seen at www.ArtSynergy.org.

9th Annual PEEPS Show This annual show is open to all artists, and regularly brings 2500 visitors to the gallery each year. It often gets TV and Press coverage….and it’s just for fun. There is a $100 top prize, and four second place prizes given to artists by the PEEPS Company. (For those of you who don’t know, PEEPS are those little marshmallow candies).

Art Teachers: If any of your students want to participate in any of our exhibits, they may do so without any fee. We welcome your participation, as an artist, as well.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE REVIEW

All work (2D and 3D) submitted must have a floral theme depicting flowers or floral arrangements. Work may be impressionistic if a floral theme is clearly discernible.

Electronic submissions will be juried to ensure consistency with quality, theme, fit with available showing space, and acceptability within the park’s family-friendly and natural environment

Registration fee is $25 per artist for up to three pieces and $5 for each additional work. Friends of JDSP Member Discount – registration only $20 for up to three pieces! $5 each additional applies.

After registration you will receive an email with instructions on submitting your images. Any electronic images not submitted in this format may not be accepted.

Electronic images should be in jpg format of sufficient quality and resolution to allow for proper review (recommended 72ppi and between 1000ppi and 2000ppi on the longest side)

Electronic images should be titled as follows: artistfullname_entry number_artwork title Example: johndoe_1_bird of paradise.jpg

Electronic images must be received by the submission deadline • Accepted work – preparation and delivery requirements

Artwork that portrays recognizable people must be accompanied by a photo model release form (below)

All artwork must be labeled clearly on the back with the artwork title, artist’s name, sales price if for sale, and media type. Price listed on the artwork must match the price listed in registration; otherwise it will be listed as not for sale

3D art must be accompanied by the proper display.
Accepted 2D work must be mounted properly wired on the back for hanging. Work not properly prepared will not be accepted

Deliver artwork to the Kimbell Center between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 6 – Monday, January 8. Artwork will not be accepted if delivered outside of these times.

20% of sales goes to the Friends of JDSP; the Friends will handle sales transactions and pay the artists at the end of the show. Tax will be added onto the sales price

Artists are responsible for packaging and delivery of artwork to buyers if not local, including all financial arrangements for shipping

All artwork must be picked up between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 1 – Sunday, March 4

Artwork that remains in the center after that date will be donated to the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Release by the Artist:

I do hereby make the following statements, release, assignments and assurances to Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc.:
I certify that I (“Artist”) am the owner author of the artwork, and I have not assigned any of my rights associated with the artwork to any third party and have sole, complete and unrestricted authority to enter into this release and to grant the rights described in this release.

I release Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. from any liability whatsoever that arises from their use of the artwork except for uses that violate the terms and conditions of this release.

I hereby grant Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. the royalty-free and nonexclusive right to use and publish images of the artwork on their website or in publications in conjunction with this event. Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. also may use the artwork images in other publications such as their website, in park brochures, in magazines, or for other marketing, promotional, and educational uses with a credit including the © symbol and naming the artist (example – © John Doe). Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. recognize that the artist owns the image and copyright to the image and shall neither claim, nor exercise any ownership rights thereto. Photographs of the artwork may be shared with the media in conjunction with this event only while making the media aware of the copyright ownership and requesting that such media use the images in conjunction with the © symbol and photo credit as in the above example.

In the occasion that the artist’s work is chosen to be displayed in the Kimbell Center:

Artwork that is not picked up by the specified date in the Call to Artists will be donated to the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, unless otherwise arranged in writing by the Artist and the Friends of JDSP.

It is understood that artwork insurance shall not be provided by Jonathan Dickinson State Park or the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. and artwork insurance, if any, shall be obtained by the artist.

It is also understood that Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. shall at all times exercise ordinary care in providing protection to the artwork, but shall assume no responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, or destruction to the artwork.

In consideration of the benefit accruing to the artist and to members of the public, the artist releases Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc. from liability for such loss, damage, or destruction of the artwork.
