This is a 50/50 raffle fund raiser for Autism Speaks of Palm Beach County. Working artists attend and create their masterpieces for the crowds on Atlantic Avenue to admire and try to win. Hand’s will sell raffle tickets that your admirers will purchase and put in each artist’s ticket box.

• Fifty percent of the money raised by each artist will go to the artist.

When David and Sally moved to Southern France, they  set up a Painting Holiday Centre. David tells The Rickie Report that since then, “we’ve met people who have arranged painting and teaching trips to The Falkland Islands, teaching and exhibiting trips to San Diego and Delray Beach, painting trips to Venice, Barcelona, Jerez, Paris and, well………. basically, all over Europe.  So apart from saying I love Sal to bits; am seriously proud of my grandchildren, I think that painting is the best job in the world…”.

In 2012 David was elected to be an Associate Member of The Society of Equestrian Painters. He is represented by Jaynie Spector of The Dog and Horse Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina and by Dan and Carol Lynne at Forms, Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida. His work has been included in several magazines and The International Artist named him as a “master painter of the world”.

Meet the Artist

 

A resident of Central Florida, Tom Jones has been commissioned by government agencies, corporations, environmental groups, clubs, and private collectors. In answer to popular demand, he typically produces his watercolor landscapes in a series of three or five paintings around a specific theme.

Vino Van Gogh is a family business managed by  Traci and Matt Woodall.  Their venue opened December, 2012.   Matt tells The Rickie Report, “We are a ‘paint and wine studio’ offering instructions to artists of all talent levels. Each class recreates the featured painting scheduled for that class session. This is not your typical art class. Our painters sip wine, eat food that they bring in or have delivered, listen to music, and reconnect with friends, spouses, first dates, coworkers….”

Karen Eskesen will present the first demo, focusing on painting glass using traditional watercolor techniques.  In Karen’s watercolor painting, “Still Life with Swan Teapot” you see her glass bowl of strawberries. Karen will show step-by-step, how she accomplished this fabulous work of art.

Before the painting portion of the demonstration, there will be a slide show with examples from Karen’s own work showing the steps taken in painting specific items.  She will also incorporate slides of paintings by prominent American watercolor painters showing their treatment of glass.

Karen Eskesen has taught for over 30 years. Her artwork resides in collections around the United States and internationally. Hand’s is pleased to have her come back, for their loyal customers, this season 2013-2014 Season.
