Whitespace Collection introduces a premier boutique event, Collect 1-2-3-4-5, showcasing the best in wearable design: jewelry, textiles, and sculptural accessories.

Seeking the ultimate in wearable art, with items priced at a minimum of $80 per item, and maximum of $1500 per item (approximately). Items may be one of a kind or in multiple, but should have the level of craft and innovation expected for the upscale market.

10 artisans will be selected and featured for each event
Artists can apply for more than one event or all of the events.
Juried and hosted by Whitespace – The Mordes collection, West Palm Beach, Florida.

 

Whitespace has established the  brand, featuring work by fine jewelry artisans at the Boca Raton Museum of art, Aqua Art Fair – Miami, Art Palm Beach, Art Wynwood – Miami, Boca Raton Art Fair and now Chicago, Naples and the Fine Art, Antique and Jewelry Fair, numerous upscaled charitable boutiques and art events among others, and has attracted a following, retaining a large number of collectors of unique wearables. Collect 1-2-3-4-5, could be the unique opportunity for you to reach this select audience, as the boutique will be for one weekend each month, during the peak of collector season. All artists that exhibit in the Collect 1-2-3-4-5, unique will also be considered for inclusion in future Whitespace art fair events as part of the Collect Team!

–  If selected, the fee to participate is $250 for 1 event/1 indoor table, and payment will act as guarantee of inclusion. Artists may apply for multiple events.
–  If accepted for more that one event: 2 events – $225 each, 3 or more events $200 each.
–  Artists will keep 80% of each sale
–  Artist are to arrive 2 hours ahead of each event to unload, set up, and check in.
–  Artist will be able to leave items overnight and can not remove their display until the event ends, at thelisted time.
–  All decisions of the curator/jurors are final.
–  If accepted, you give Whitespace Collection the right to publish submitted images for publicity of Collect 1-2-3-4-5.

 

 

TERMS:

–  Artists MUST be present for set-up and for the open hours of each event in which they participate.
–  Artists will be given a 4 foot table, and receipt books. Artists must bring any necessary display items, or if hanging textiles, provide their own racks.
–  Artists must bring a small standing sign with their name.
–  Artists much have each item for sale tagged with the price.
–  Whitespace will process all sales by cash or credit card ( no checks) using triplicate receipts provided by Whitespace.
–  Whitespace will pack and wrap all items sold.
–  Payment to artist will be within 10 days of event

Art Synergy invited artists from Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties to apply to the call for artists for Art Forms at Art Boca Raton. This will be the third year for this unique event and we are proud to once again to be invited by the Lester’s to exhibit.

Art Boca Raton Contemporary Art Fair, March 14-18, 2018 to be held in the International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches in cooperation with Florida Atlantic University. Showcasing contemporary, modern and emerging art, sculpture, photography, works on paper and installations, the fair will offer a broad range of art to both beginning and seasoned collectors. Art Boca Raton will encompass 60-65 dealers carefully selected by a curatorial committee in order to assure dealer quality and exclusivity.

The International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches will include a 65,000 sq. ft. /6100 sq. meter exhibition hall, a full-service restaurant, sculpture garden and lecture hall facility. Ample parking and valet service will be available to fair attendees.

Over 125 submissions were received including both 2D and 3D art. The juror, Noor Blazekovic, is a well-known arts advocate and founder of Irreversible Magazine and Projects, developing an extensive international platform for nontraditional exhibitions and cultural exchanges. Blazekovic is a respected art curator and project developer within the South Florida art community and beyond, her projects have taken her worldwide where she has mentored numerous emerging and mid-career artists, helping them to develop their careers and strengthen their work while building a collector base and following. Blazekovic has received numerous awards within the industry for her leadership role and continued developments within the local community.  The work submitted by all of the artists was most impressive, but due to limited space, only a small selection of artist were able to be selected.  All of their work can be seen at www.ArtSynergy.org.

ArtSynergy will also be coordinating daily demonstrations at ArtBoca offering be a variety of techniques, styles and mediums.

The International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches will include a 65,000 sq. ft. /6100 sq. meter exhibition hall, a full service restaurant, sculpture garden and lecture hall facility. Ample parking and valet service will be available to fair attendees.

The non-refundable fee for the online application is $40. Three pieces may be submitted. The width cannot exceed 48”

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Art Synergy/Art Boca Raton 2018 Exhibition is open to all professional artists who reside and work in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties. All work to be exhibited must be well conceived, expertly executed, and arrive ready to hang.

If you need a pedestal or monitor YOU MUST PROVIDE IT. All work should reflect the individuality of the artist. Giclee reproductions of paintings will not be accepted.

ENTRY RULES
The images submitted must fully reflect the work to be exhibited in the booth. An artist who works in more than one media category, must submit an application in each category. If one application is accepted, only work in that category may be exhibited.

IMAGES
Each applicant may submit (1) one image of each piece of work to be shown for consideration by the jury. 3-D art may submit 2 images. File format: JPEG only
Images must comply with those required by Juried Art Services

If your work is accepted, there is a requirement to volunteer in the booth for at least 4 hours during the shows days. Also, accepted artists must provide a head shot.

JURY DECISIONS
Jurors’ selections are based on the level of technical skill, quality of workmanship, and originality of design as represented in the images submitted.

Artwork must be picked up on Sunday, March 18, 2018, between 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

**All submitted 2D or hanging works must be wired and ready for hanging, loose flat work not framed (I.e. prints, photographs, etc.) will not be acceptable entries.**

Juror: NOOR BLAZEKOVIC

A graduate from the University of Central Venezuela with a B.S. in Communications, Noor Blazekovic served for 10 years as a TV studio and field producer for Venevision TV Channel, Venezuela Latin America. She moved to the United States in 1998 expanding her production skills into the visual arts industry, having worked for Art Basel Miami Beach Show Management from 2002-2006; and in 2006 she founded Irreversible Magazine and Projects, developing an extensive international platform for nontraditional exhibitions and cultural exchanges. In addition, since 2008 Blazekovic is the Executive Director of GIANTS IN THE CITY, a monumental inflatable traveling public art exhibition where she oversees the projects and exhibitions related to the Arts in Public Places Program; confers with artists, and consults with Art Commissions, City and County departments, as well as community groups and developers regarding projects, art events and workshops. As the Magazine Publisher of Irreversible and Chief Editor, she manages the editorial and commercial success of an award-winning contemporary art publication; defining the editorial position and managing business operations to provide readers with high-quality content while maximizing revenue and profit for 10+ years. Blazekovic is a respected art curator and project developer within the South Florida art community and beyond, her projects have taken her worldwide where she has mentored numerous emerging and mid-career artists, helping them to develop their careers and strengthen their work while building a collector base and following. Blazekovic has received numerous awards within the industry for her leadership role and continued developments within the local community.
