“Silent Lucidity” by Renata

Renata was born and raised in Brazil and has been living as a visual artist and art educator in West Palm Beach for the last 8 years. Her work varies from fine art paintings to murals, as well as public art, live painting, and mixed media. She enjoys painting commissions, especially portraying people and animals and the bonding between them. Nature plays a major influence on her themes.

Renata tells The Rickie Report, “My main medium is acrylic paint and I see my style as realistic illustration. I like painting on wood and enjoy the endless layering of colors I can make with diluted paint to create form and texture. If you follow my work, you will also find a vast array of other materials from time to time. Right now, I am really into murals and mixed media.”

“Kind Words Are Like Honey” by Paloma Eden

Paloma Eden is a multi-disciplinary artist, whose journey encompasses watercolor and mixed media paintings, calligraphy, and flamenco dance. Passionate about connection, she fearlessly explores deep and raw emotions. Her dance performances and portraits lay bare, emotional states offering a conduit for others to connect and explore their innermost hidden feelings and the beauty that lies within vulnerability. Inspired by her Puerto Rican heritage she celebrates community and diverse cultures in her art. She actively engages and exhibits her work within the community as a visual artist, dancer, and educator through her platform, White Eden Studio.  Part of the Urban Art lofts collective, Paloma enjoys working out of her studio located in downtown Lake Worth Beach.

At the core of my artistic expression lies a passion for connection, curiosity, and a hunger to explore human emotions. Diverse mediums allow me to authentically convey different emotions, and aspects of my creative vision, which seeks to unravel the depths of our emotional landscape and give form to intricate complexities of the human soul. I enjoy creating portraits that reveal subjects in their rawness, to tell stories of triumph, resilience, and the beauty that lies within vulnerability.

Paloma tells The Rickie Report, “Inspired by the fluidity and the wonders of the world, my art navigates between realism and abstraction. Galaxies and abstract motifs frequently emerge in my paintings and serve as devotion to the Divine.  Passionate about preserving the art of penmanship, calligraphy allows me to connect with others through the beauty of words.  Ultimately, what draws me to create art is the desire to connect deeply with others. I aspire to ignite a spark in others, offering hope and encouragement to pursue their unique passions, dreams, and callings.”

“Bride” by Marsha

Caribbean-born artist Marsha is inspired by nature, science, and world cultures. She creates as a means of communication and believes that art is most meaningful through its making. As a two and three-dimensional artist, Marsha has worked with various materials including oil, acrylic, charcoal, graphite, clay, plaster, wood, and wax. Influenced by the art of the Italian Renaissance as a young artist, her early drawings and paintings portrayed an eye for realism in nature and the human form. Later, however, her work evolved into more abstract, dreamlike scenes, fantasy, and healing imagery, as she seeks to understand our place in the universe.

Marsha tells The Rickie Report, “Inspired by India, nature’s intelligence, and the cosmos, my art depicts a belief in the interconnectedness of all things in existence. It’s not what I paint, however, but that I paint which connects me.”
