“Fruitscape” by Gustavo Castillo
“We are so thankful for the continued support of the community for the ArtCenter,” said Nancy Politsch, executive director of the ArtCenter. “The event depends on the generous donations from artists and we were fortunate that over 300 works of art were donated.”
Each guest is assigned an artist’s name to form 10 groups. As guests arrive they enjoy cocktails and gourmet hors d’oeuvres while perusing the gallery of over 300 pieces of displayed art and jewelry, noting their favorites on their “Wish List.” There is also a very carefully curated Silent Auction to tempt the most discerning buyer. After enjoying a delicious dinner, it’s time to “dart!” When their artist’s name is randomly drawn, their group “darts” to their chosen piece of art, putting their claim on the work of art that they will be taking home.
So drink, dine, and when your name is called, “dart” for an outstanding piece of art to take home as the ultimate parting gift!
Honorary Chairs for the event are Fred and Mary Lynn Putney. Silent Auction Chairs are Pat DeAloia and Amy Crain. “Everyone appreciates what the Lighthouse ArtCenter means to our community,” said Mr. Putney. “The staff and volunteers work hard to provide programs to enrich our lives here in South Florida and we are proud to be a part of this incredible evening.”
