” I feel energized, relaxed and accomplished when my wearable art is finished.  Anything that tickles my fancy bone or fancies my tickle bone works for me.  I take simple textures and create sophisticated, whimsical, fun, one-of-a-kind pieces.”  ~  Gail Johnson

Gail Johnson tells The Rickie Report, ” Rather than following only trends, my jewelry encapsulates the spirit of innovation.  I constantly search for new ways to look at jewelry design as a multifaceted architecture of shapes, colors and materials”. From a unique Calder-inspired necklace to a Warhol-inspired design, Gail includes a funky mix of body art that transforms the everyday into something exclusive!

Gail’s enthusiasm can be summed up, as she shares “Unique crafted statement jewelry made with special craftsmanship, care and passion. When buying from an artist you’re buying more than just an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of effort and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks and months of PURE JOY!  You aren’t just buying a thing. You are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someone’s life. I hope you find something that touches your heart”.

Gail thinks of jewelry as personal, wearable art making a statement by the wearer.  While her career has spanned the corporate world, Gail always had to be involved with a creative outlet.  “From an early age I was always designing  something which encompassed publication in McCalls handcrafted magazine.  I am drawn to a variety of design, textures, colors and components. Although the materials vary, the common denominators in my work are color and texture”.

Very few materials are out-of-bounds as Gail uses paper, lampwork, glass, hand carved beads, nuts, ceramic, rubber bands, wire, cord, paper and more.  Her artistry has been sold at Palm Springs, CA, Womens Creative Expo-Palm Beach, Gallery Five in Tequesta FL, Artisan Gallery of Lake Worth and Lighthouse Gallery located in Jupiter, FL. ” I feel energized, relaxed and accomplished when my wearable art is finished.  Anything that tickles my fancy bone or fancies my tickle bone works for me.   I take simple textures and create sophisticated, whimsical, fun, one-of-a-kind pieces. I want my jewelry to give people joy and amusement in their daily lives”.
