Artist, Susan Schanerman

Susan didn’t pick up her first paint brush until 1995, and then it took almost 20 years before she gained enough self-confidence to begin to call herself an “Artist” and showcase her work. Susan’s work is playful, whimsical, uplifting, inspiring and FUN. She uses vibrant color and most of her work has a child-like tone as though it’s speaking for the child within her expressing the freedom and joy of childhood, something she never experienced.

“Mod Bow-K” by Susan Schanerman

Today, Susan’s art is her passion. She believes there is creativity in us all. It is our very nature and acts as a means of communication, heart to heart, soul to soul. In 2004, Susan was inspired to create her artwork reflecting the idea of “heARTmatters: There’s ART in Every heART”.  This will be Susan’s first Solo Exhibition of her heART. Her deepest desire that her work “Touches Your Heart, Stirs Your Soul and Puts a Smile on Your Face!!” The show will also have a wonderful opening performance “Variety Show” by VSA’s SpotLighters: On The Road.
