“Putting together pieces” has many meanings. Some think there is something “broken” while others see the whole as an assembly of its parts.

Artists Faith Schwack and Judy Gaggero have done just that!

For Faith, it inspires her to create meaningful mosaics and for Judy, her alcohol and inks bring color to the forefront.

“Violin of Hope” by Faith Schwack

Faith Schwack tells The Rickie Report, ” My work is inspired by the color and textures of the nature that surrounds me. As a mosaic artist I bring inanimate objects to life and using glass, beads, porcelain and found objects. A wide range of work is available including sea life, and wildlife. Most recently I have added a collection of Judaica to my studio.

“Monkey In The Window” by Faith Schwack

A native Floridian, Faith has studied at the Art Institute of Ft.Lauderdale, New School of Manhattan, Mosaic Academy of Miami, and with local artists in Palm Beach County.  Mosaic art has become her passion!

Faith’s signature piece is the Turtle Shell – a Fiberglass shell with back lighting installed. Each has a unique pattern and color combination of her imagination or client specifications.  She uses Sea glass, Venetian glass tiles and Stained glass.  Various substrates are used to create a desired look. Materials range from recycled tiles, Orsini gold, Smalti Italian glass, Porcelain, Stained glass, Sea glass, shells, beads, and other found objects.

Mosaic design commissions are available upon request.

Judy Gaggero tells The Rickie Report, “My joy and passion is painting with alcohol and ink. It is Magical. Seminal to my work, the beautiful patterns of light, color, and shapes, throughout the world, are awe-inspiring. The medium freely flows over the paper, but is then controlled to express my abstracted impressions of nature. The challenge is to create a piece which brings meaningful joy to the viewer”.
