Iris Beate captures the lives of people, painting vignettes that reflect a moment in time. Her work reflects the essence of a particular place or environment where human interaction occurs, whether on the water, the beach, or in the city.  Her travels have allowed her to freeze instances from around the world.  Iris studied with a host of inspiring teachers, including those at the Art Students League in New York City.  Her Painting “In Search of Flamingos 2022” was chosen to be the commemorative poster for the Melbourne Art Festival in April of that Year.
