Dog Days Of Summer ( And Other Pets Too!) Opens August 9 At MartinArts’ Courthouse Cultural Center Gallery. Public Reception Friday, August 12 . Family Day, Pet Adoptions, Artist Demos Scheduled Through October 1st

“Dog Days of Summer (and other pets too!)” opens August 9, 2022 at MartinArts’ Court House Cultural Center Gallery in Stuart.  Meet the artists at the Public Reception on Friday, August 12.  Enjoy original art of animals and pets, a Family Day (Saturday, September 17) and pet adoption opportunities will be held through the exhibit’s run, until October 1st.  A raffle will be held for a Skip Hartzell sculpture.  Proceeds from all sales will benefit Caring Fields Felines, Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, Treasure Coast Wildlife Center, and MartinArts.  A special video presentation by international group, Gunhill Road, “I Know You’re Real is included in this multi-medium exhibit. Artists Katie Gianni, Jordan Silvia, and Heather Ivins will be teaming up for a fun event where they will be painting and drawing live, chatting with you about their work, and selling fine art originals and prints.

 

 

Additionally, each artist will be raffling off an 8”x8” piece, with 100% of the proceeds going to the animal rescue and adoption organizations participating in the Dog Days of Summer exhibition. By entering the raffle, you may win an original piece of artwork for a small donation of $5 (or more, if you’d like), while also helping animals!  The three artists will be sharing more details in the next couple of weeks, so make sure to follow them here and on Instagram for more information.

Learn about local wildlife, enjoy hands-on activities, library card sign up, and story time provided by the Martin County Library System, Tykes & Teens, and Treasure Coast Wildlife Center
